Branded cosmetics and Poundland?! - Rimmel products

I popped in to Poundland when I was in town with the Man and the Boy the other day as I remembered a recent post by Fee at 'MakeupSavvy' where she said that people have been able to get Sally Hansen nail polishes from various stores and I just had to go in to our local branch and check!

I was so surprised by what we found when we got there. There was a few of the Sally Hansen polishes but there was a host of other brands too! There was Revlon, Rimmel, Collection 2000, Maybelline and Miss Sporty too; there was nail polishes, eyeshadows and various other bits. There was, obviously, only limited items and limited colours for each of these brands, but the fact that they were there at all was a huge, and rather welcome, surprise.

I scoured the section for quite a while and although there was a lot there, I only decided upon two bits, simply because they weren't all the sorts of things that I was looking for at that time and I have a lot of new bits and pieces at the moment so I'd have just been getting things for the sake of it. But I did decide to pick up two bits; a Rimmel London 60 second nail polish in 'Be a star' and a Rimmel London Eyeful Eye Crayon which doesn't seem to have a shade name (It's a pale goldish shimmer).

I've not used either of them yet, but I probably will soon as I'm really excited to see what they're both like. I also picked up a pretty little makeup bag in this pretty rose print. I have lots of make up bags but always manage to find uses for them so one for £1 was just too good to pass up.

  1. I've found such bargains in Poundland! Sally Hansen lipglosses, Stila powder and foundation, Collection 2000 loose pigments and Rimmel Eyeshadow - and endless nail polishes! Poundland is now a dangerous place for me to go. :P

They have brands such as nails inc and high end from £5-£10 and more for sets of 4+ considering its usually £11 for one its a bargain not to be missed. Its where i will be heading come my birthday and maybr a cheeky look round the poundshops. I don't tend to go in but when i heard about the make up that soon changed. Only one of thems decent for make up though
