Cosmetics and skincare haul – Boots botanics, Origins, Revlon and More – February 2013

This is just a little haul post of some things I bought over the last month, mostly from a couple of different Boots orders but also a few bits from eBay and Amazon. Most, though not all, of these things were directly inspired by vloggers/bloggers; in this instance Estee from Estee Lalonde and Anna from Vivianna Does Makeup who I’ve been watching on YouTube a Lot this month.

Firstly, I’ve got some skincare bits, mostly from the Botanics range which you can buy in Boots. I’ve heard quite a lot of recommendations for the Rosewater Toning Spray and when I went to check it out on the website it turned out that they had a bit of a money off sale so I decided to get the Face Oil as it’s 100% organic and I’m very much still developing my own skincare routine. I also decided to get the Radiant Youth Super Serum as I had been wanting to get a serum for a while now and this was just a fantastic price as well as being from a brand that has better ingredients than some of the other brands I’ve tried in the past (Though I know not as good as some of the higher end brands which I just can’t afford =( ) Lastly, for skincare, I got the Origins Super Spot Removing Gel as I had heard so many good things about it and I really am always keeping my eye out for something that really works (And so far so good I must add).

I got a few lip products which were, again, mostly from having heard/read good things about them. I am really enjoying trying new products (especially when on offer as the Revlon lip butters were, for £5) (They’re now on 3 for 2) and none of these have disappointed. I am obsessed with the blistex, it’s going on a few times each day and I’ve worn each of the other products at least two or three times each since they arrived.

Lastly, I have been really needing a better base and top coat for nails. I’m really hoping to try some higher end ones at some point as I am totally nail obsessed, but for now I just got the Sally Hansen one from eBay which was Very reasonable. I also really wanted to try the Revlon nude eye pencil and the Batiste was, simply, because my old can ran out and I don’t want to be without the stuff now that I’m so used to using it!

and Rimmel Scandaleyes in Nude

All in all, I’m really really pleased with the products I’ve bought and I expect them to pop up in some monthly favourite posts in the future. I’ve not used any of them enough to say 100% that they work for me, or that they’re exactly what I needed them to be but it’s very much a case of so far, so good.
