Elf haul – My first purchase from Elf and first thoughts on the order

I have a few elf bits that I picked up in a competition a little over a year ago and I quite like them but they didn’t really leap out at me so as far as bargain brands go they didn’t really seem to compete with my established favourite brand, MUA. But I have seen and read more about them, most recently, and have been interested to try out some bits from the studio line and so when they did a 48% off promotion for a few days I felt it was the right time to make a decent sized order and really give their things a go.

It arrived nice and quickly and was well packaged but one of my items is still listed as ‘Arrived with Warehouse’ and so I’m not sure whether I’ll receive this item or a refund. Also one of the blushes that came with the order was, unfortunately, quite badly shattered so I’m waiting to hear back from elf to find out what they’ll be able to do about that. But overall I was really pleased with the items and can’t wait to really give them a try. This post isn’t going to have any reviews in, it’s just a nice pic of what I got and reviews will happen once I’ve had a decent amount of time to play around with the products – I really am so excited to use them properly!

I got three of the single blushes in ‘gotta glow’, ‘mellow mauve’ (the one that’s shattered’ and ‘candid coral’ as well as a baked blush in ‘passion pink’ and one of the contour blush and bronzer sets. I got quite a few eye products; three single eye shadows in ‘oatmeal’, ‘raspberry truffle’ and ‘pebble’, an eye pigment powder in ‘naturally nude’, a duo cream eyeshadow in ‘Mocha swirl’, two of the jumbo eyeshadow pencils in ‘french lace’ and ‘little miss thing’ and one of their mineral eye primers. The item that I didn’t recieve was a studio eyeshadow cream in ‘Candlelight’. Lastly I got three nail polishes, to add to my already far too big collection, in ‘Mod mauve’, ‘Smoky brown’ and ‘Copper’.

As I said earlier in the post, I really can’t wait to try these bits out and I definitely expect to do plenty of reviews in the coming weeks.

I've become a bit crazy for neutrals 🙂 Especially as I'm opting for more colour in the cheeks or lips

Am wearing the oatmeal and pebble shadows today, it's a really subtle, natural look, loving it =D

      Thanks for the comment 🙂
