It’s taken me until now to get the blog done because I have a small person who takes most of my daytime attentions; but this one was so important to blog so soon that he’s been a good boy and let Mummy get some photos taken!
Firstly… Do I like it? Oh Yes! Is it as good as I hoped it’d be? Oh Yes!!
The colours are just gorgeous, I absolutely love the range of shades, they’re exactly the colours that I’ve been looking for, all in one palette, for £4 – MUA how do you keep managing to do it!
I’m going to stop teasing and add some swatches in here and then talk a bit more about my feelings about it after the pics, so here you go!
|In natural light|
Firstly, I want to say I know you can’t see the first shade. It’s an incredibly pale nude tone – I think it’d show up much better on people with a less crazily pale skin tone than me, though, it’s a lovely shade but it’s so very subtle that it’s hard to capture in photo – So you’re just going to have to take my word for it, it’s just a barely anything shade but it adds the slightes touch of soft, neutral colour and I think it’d be a fantastic base to help even out the colour of the eye lid.
As for the other colours, you can see them, aren’t they just stunning! You’ve got a goldy bronze, a neutral champagne, a reddish bronze, a matte taupe, a dark brown with gold shimmer, a paler brown with gold shimmer, a shimmery taupe, a very pale almost-taupe with shimmer, a copper, a dark brown with a lighter hint of shimmer and a matte almost black brown.
Firstly, sorry if my descriptions are rubbish, I’m not good at describing colours, that’s just how I see them. But honestly, I can’t say it enough, I absolutely love them. There’s only three matte’s but the shimmer colours all have a different strength of shimmer so you’ve got some who’re only just on the shimmery side of matte, if that makes any sense at all?!
The texture is just gorgeous. They’re almost all that soft, creamy, buttery texture that we already know and love from the Undressed palette, the only one that’s chalky is the last shade, and it’s such a heavily pigmented matte shade that you can’t really be surpised.
A nice little change, with this palette, is the fact that the shades have names rather than numbers! I love this. I know it doesn’t matter, really, we can refer to things by numbers, but I just like being able to call it by name, and the names are lovely (If not a little cheeky in some instances 😉 )
Do I think it’s a dupe? Yeah, for me it’s going to save me spending a lot of money on something incredibly similar. The shades are so so similar, I have no need to look elsewhere.
I can’t wait to play with these shadows, seriously, cannot wait.
There are some asking what the differences between ‘Undress me too’ and the original ‘Undressed’ palette are and so I’m planning on doing another blog, tomorrow, showing you the differences – because believe me, they’re different.
If you want to see real life swatches I can only suggest you fork out the £4 for one of these, yourself, it’s worth it – Honest.
