NOTD - Nail of the day - MUA: Make Up Academy Fur effect nail art and Plum Noir polish

I was a bit sceptical about the fur effects nail art by MUA, when it first came out. I like nail art but I wasn't sure why fur would be any fun on nails.

As it turns out, now that I've tried it, it is actually quite fun! It's not something I'm going to do every day but it's such a different and quirky look, plus I can't stop rubbing the fur, it feels quite nice!

It was quite easy to apply, though will definitely be easier with practice. It did get dirty after a bit, and obviously you can't add a top coat so if you want to use it for a specific event don't do it too far in advance, but for someone who changes their nails every couple of days it's hardly a big problem.

I apologise for the less than perfect polish on my other fingers, these were done at the beginning of being poorly and I was already starting to struggle with even the basics. But here are my nails painted with MUA's 'Plum Noir' polish and then with fur effects in shade 'Fluff and Cuddles'

  1. I love these, they look gorgeous and I know how hard it is not to keep touching it! It goes lovely with the plum noir, I haven't tried that one yet!

  2. I have a few of the fur-effects including this. I liked them, there unique but not something i will be doing all the time because lasting time isn't very long. Very messy and take a while to do. I think it's one of them things i need to do a few times before i get hang of it.

  3. Yeah, that's the same as me, Kate. They'll never be something I'd do loads but they're fun for now and again :) (I definitely need practice too hehe)
