Latest in Beauty – The CEW (UK) 2013 Beauty Awards Box

If you saw my post the other day (HERE) you already knew I was rather excited about  Latest In Beauty‘s newest box, for the CEW beauty awards, so it should come as no surprise that I ordered it on the morning of release; especially as the CEW box last year sold out within 24 hours!

The CEW box costs £9.95 plus £3.95 p+p, so, I decided to order the ‘Editors pick’ box, whilst I was making my order, because it’s only £7.95 and I only had to pay p+p once so rather than £3.95 per box, which it would have been to order them separately, I only paid one £3.95 charge for both boxes – Absolute bargain!

So watch this space for Another LIB post coming up later this week.

But, I digress, this post is about the rather exciting CEW box – The box contains products by finalists of this years awards and it has two full sized products in it as well as five good  sized samples and two perfume samples, a considerable amount of products for a beauty box of this reasonable price; not to mention the impressive range of brands included. I’m, also, really impressed by the box itself, the box is a massive improvement on the boxes that LIB collections have come in in the past and they look stylish and chic as well as being really strong and sturdy.

So, without any more rambling, here’s what I got:

This is the Dr Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Moisture Melt Body Oil – I really hoped I’d get this item, the other option was a Dr Organic Argan Oil Hair treatment serum which sounds wonderful but I’m much more into my body care than I am hair products. Both of these items are full size, though, and the Hair serum costs £14.99 whilst the Body oil is £8.99, both of these, alone, make the box worthwhile price wise. I really can’t wait to use this, I love coconut and this product just seems so nice and luxurious.

This is a 1.2ml sample of the Mont Blanc ‘Legend Eua De Toilette’ – This won’t be much use for me as The Fiance isn’t very interested in these things, but I’m sure I’ll be able to find someone who’d like to use it. A 30ml bottle of this retails at £37.

This is the Elemis ‘Pro-Collagen Marine Cream’ – I’m only just really beginning to take a big interest in skin care so this anti-aging moisturiser will be a great thing for me to try out. I’m all for using anti-aging to prevent the signs of aging rather than fixing them once they arrive! This is a 15ml sample and you can get a 50ml, full sized product, from Look Fantastic for £63.20 (so this is quite a good sample, value wise)

I’m always pleased to get a new Nails Inc polish and this is no exception – This pink is called ‘Notting Hill Gate’ and it’s a 4ml mini. I was quite hoping to get the orange ‘Portobello’ but this is a gorgeous shade none the less and I look forward to getting it on my nails – I think this’ll be a gorgeous, bright, summery polish. Full size Nails Inc polishes cost £11.

Yay, a Balance Me product! This is another anti-aging cream but I who doesn’t need more creams to keep them looking younger!? I know I sure do! This is their ‘Intensive Wrinkle Repair Cream’ and I’m really interested to find out what this is like, I really like what I already know about Balance Me so another product I’m really looking forward to. This is a 10ml product and the full size is 50ml, costing £30 from Look Fantastic. (Again, impressed with the value)

This is the Weleda ‘Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Body Lotion’ full of lots of natural goodness. A second body care product but, again, I’m happy with that – This is a lotion rather than an oil so will be more of an everyday use product. I have used some Weleda samples before and like them a lot so I have good expectations for this. Some people will receive the ‘Wild Rose Pampering body lotion’ which I’d have preferred, but that’s the nature of these boxes and I’m still happy with what I have. Both samples are 20ml and the full sized products are 200ml – The Buckthorn lotion retails at £15.95 and the Wild Rose at £19.95.

This is a product I was really looking forward to getting is the Melvita ‘Rose Floral Water’ – I’ve heard good things about the Rose nectar range and I look forward to seeing how well this does at ‘freshening and hydrating’ as the leaflet states. This is a 28ml sample, the full size is 200ml and costs £13 from feelunique.

I’m getting quite a nice collection of perfume samples and this will make a welcome addition. It’s a 1ml sample of the Elie Saab ‘Le Parfum Eau De Toilette’ the full sized product is 50ml and costs £48.50 from The Perfume Shop.

This is another full sized product and it’s the Essential Care mascara in brown. It’s 100% natural and 88% organic which makes it another really exciting item to try. I’ve, also, only just begun trying out brown mascaras so this couldn’t come at a better time. This item is priced at £17.50 which costs almost double the price of the box itself! Other boxes will have received either eye or lip pencils and cost £12.50.

I’m so happy with this box, the value of the samples, the range of brands and the brands included have made an amazing selection of items. I really look forward to trying out all of the products in this box (apart from the male fragrance, perhaps)

This really is a fantastic box. All samples are of generous sizes too. I can't wait to see the other.

I know I'm amazed at the value.

The other box is a smaller one, hence the smaller price, but it's really nice too. It'll probably go up on Saturday as I've already had to rejig the weeks posts to fit them in

Lib are fab, though, always impressed by them 🙂 xx
