Glossybox UK – July 2013 – Unboxing

So, last  month was my last Glossybox from the ones that Azii got me for my birthday (thanks to getting one with glossydots too) – But turns out he ‘forgot’ to cancel the subscription. I say forgot like that because things he’s said during the month when I’ve reminded him have been a little non-commital so I’m not sure if he did forget or just thought he’d leave it going for a bit. Only he can tell me and he’s not here this weekend.

I am, though, rather chuffed that I have this box, I actually exclaimed ‘Wow’ when I opened it up and saw the utterly gorgeous box, very very nice one Glossybox! And I am quite happy with the contents, too, still upping the game there I think!

It’s clear that a lot of thought has been put into the theme this month, the box is just beautifully designed and even the tissue paper is patterned too. I, also, really felt like the products adhered to the theme quite well, which sometimes they don’t (not that it matters, but it is quite nice when it works as well as it does this month)
And here’s what I got! Ooh I quite love it! (Yes, that is a blue lip product, I’ll get to that later)
First up we’ve got the Anatomicals Spray misty for me facial spritz. Now in this weather who doesn’t want to spray nice cooling things on their face?! I’m loving facial sprays at the moment but I only have sample sizes/minis of things so I keep holding back from using them, which is daft, I know. So having this which is their full sized 100ml bottle, and very affordable at that, is going to make my summer Much easier! With things like lavender, witch hazel and  peppermint in I think this could be a fantastic product. This full sized spray is worth £6.
This is a 25ml bottle of Bamboo style boho waves tousled texture mist (Wow long name!) by Alterna Haircare. I’m actually a bit obsessed with the messy, tousled locks look at the moment, my hair is at the length where that’s how it looks its best. So this is absolutely perfect for me and also well in keeping with this months theme. The full size is 125ml so this is a good sized sample, and the full size retails at £23.
Looks like Coola are doing the beauty box thing this summer – I already have this from a birchbox but I’m not at all disappointed to have another. This is only a 7ml sample but a little goes a long way and everyone should be using spf on their faces this summer so this Spf30 cucumber mositurizer works for everyone. I like using this as it’s a light formula and nice and cooling. The full size is 50ml so the sample size, although small, isn’t bad compared to full size. The full size retails at £25.99.
I’m not sure if we were meant to get one or two of these but I’m quite glad I got two as if I’d only got blue I’d have been gutted. When I first saw the blue I was… puzzled. But when I saw I had red too I figured they were meant to be mixed. I’m loving the Sleek things I’ve tried so far and really want to try more, these seem like a fantastic product to try. The pout paints come in a range of shades and are, supposed, to offer a Lot of colour for a small amount of product. I’d have been much happier with the peachy shade one in the picture of the leaflet that came with the box but I’ll definitely use the red and I will give the blue a go as I think it could be fun to mix up my own colours. These retail at £4.99 and if I like the formula I may well want to get the peachy shade. I think these are fab for summer as they are supposed to be low maintenance and who doesn’t want that in the hotter months. Very pleased to get these in my box.
I was so pleased to see a Ciate polish in my box, I’m not going to try to hide it. I love the ciate paint pot I have thus far and to have another, in a bright summery orange, makes me just a bit happy! I think the colour is perfect for the season and definitely finishes of the theme for the box. I love the formula of ciate polishes and for £9 these are a Nice polish to get in a beauty box! This is a full sized bottle, too, can it get any better?!
So, yeah. You can probably see why I love this box. I’m so impressed at the product and I don’t think a single one of them is going to be relegated to the ‘samples’ boxes that are brimming with products in my shelves. Every single one of these products is going to enhance my summer beauty and be used lots and lots. Thank you, Glossybox, for such a wonderful box! And thank you Azii for ‘forgetting’ to cancel my subscription.

This looks great. You are suppose to get two I've seen two in others. I have to say they really are being competitive with birchbox at the moment. With what I've seen glossy box will be coming out on top this month xx

Ahh good, that does make sense as they're meant to be mixable.

They really are, when I first got them I was pretty non plussed but I've had three standout boxes from glossybox, now. I guess we'll just have to wait and see with Birchbox… doesn't sound promising though xx
