In all honesty I Love this box. The brands in it are pretty phenomenal and the variety of products in it is fab, especially considering two full sized cosmetics as well as the great sized samples of everything else. A Real winning box for me this month, thank you Birchbox!
I’m glad my Birchbox came today as I keep seeing spoilers as much as I try to avoid them! Thankfully it’s a rather good box so it’s made up for having known a couple of the products in advance.
Anyone who’s interested in subscribing to Birchbox please don’t forget that if you use my referral code then you’ll get £5 worth of reward points to spend in the birchbox store, and I’ll get the same too, my link is: http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=19096
This months theme is London Fashion Week as you can see nicely depicted in the shot on the front of the mag (It’s quite hard to concentrate at the moment as I have a toddlers thumb in my ear, I rarely blog when he’s not in bed but I like to get box posts done quickly)
Birchbox had already revealed that we’d be getting this item in our boxes as a follow up to the Molton Brown product we got last month. I’ve got a lot of body lotions but this Ylang-Ylang one will definitely get used as I quite like the brand and it smells good. but quite subtle. This sample size is nice at 30ml – A full sized product retails for £18 which is pretty pricey.
This is the nail polish which was in the Reverence de Bastien box it’s shade No. 14 and is a rather gorgeous deep, dark red/brown shade which will be great for autumn. I like the shade and am rather impressed that we get a full sized nail polish worth £16 in the boxes, hope it lives up to its value!
I’ve tried, and enjoyed, a few products from Model Co before so was pleased to see another in my box. This lipstick is a lovely shade, it’s on the pink end of neutral but it’s not an overwhelming pink at all, I quite love it.
The shade name is ‘Kitty’ and it’s got a lovely soft, creamy formula with a hint of shimmer in it – Though, again, it’s not an overwhelming shimmer, it only adds a sheen rather than a sparkle. These can be bought as a set of three shades for £15.50
I’d have been a bit disappointed to see a second body product in the box if it hadn’t been an ‘Aromatherapy Associates’ product – The fact that it’s by this brand is totally redeeming for me as I really like them and it’s something I can’t often afford to get full sized products of. I’ve not smelled this ‘Revive Body Gel yet as it’s got a seal over the end of the tube and I’m going to leave it sealed until I have need of this sort of product. The tube says that it has grapefruit, rosemary and juniper in it, though, so it sounds interesting plus the fact that it’s a gel formula is a big draw, too. This is a good sized 40ml sample and the full size retails for £31.
Your eyes do not deceive you, that is the real blogger, cult favourite ‘Bioderma – Sensibio H2O’. This little 20ml bottle is one of the items I already knew was a possible item so it wasn’t a big surprise when I got it but it’s definitely a nice surprise that it’s included in this months box. This is the sort of product that most bloggers really want to try, if they haven’t, and I’m sure plenty of non-bloggers do too! I’ve never bought any of this as I have other products that are supposed to do the job but I’m definitely pleased to be able to try this out and see what all the fuss is about! The full size (250ml) of this retails for £9.99.
Mmm chocolate as a lifestyle extra? Yes please! I’ve been a bit obsessed with white chocolate recently, though barely had any as I’m being very well behaved. This little bar of Green & Blacks will give me a nice chocolate hit without being too naughty, yay.
