Slightly floral New Look and Primark haul – September 2013

I know I did a Primark haul recently buut one of my good friends asked me if I wanted a trip to town the other day and it just happened to be whilst Ethan was at nursery for the afternoon. It’s not often that I get the chance to go to town without a buggy and a toddler who really doesn’t like Boots, Superdrug or Primark so townwards I went! And, of course, Primark Had to be on the list of destinations. I had only planned on browsing but when I saw this jumper dress it just Had to be mine.
For some, unfathomable, reason I bought this in a Medium (no idea why it was S, M and L rather than proper sizes) even though I’m an 8-10 – The sleeves looked really narrow and it just didn’t look very big in a small so I thought I’d play it safe with the M.

As it happens it’s rather large on me. But never mind, it’s soo soft and I love the print so it’ll wear it loads anyway. It was £12 (which is normally more than I’d spend but I just fell in love)

I think the mention of £12 being  more than I normally spend leads on quite well to my mention of New Look. I know that New Look is hardly considered an expensive shop but, for me, it is more than I normally spend on clothes. I don’t know why but I really struggle to spend much on an item of clothing… weird, I know.

Despite this, I ended up on the New Look website a couple of weeks back after spotting a floral top by them in Marie Claire mag. They didn’t have the top but they did have some other rather lovely floral things.

This pink and grey floral sweater called out to me from the website – I just love this colour combination and it looked lightweight enough that it’d be good to layer in the cooler months. I got it in a size 10 which is quite roomy but not too big. It was £14.99.

Mhmm clearly the theme of my recent purchases is showing through. This rose print cami was just too gorgeous to ignore. It’s so sheer that I wear it over a black vest top but it still looks beautiful. I got this in a size 10, too, so again it’s not a tight fit but I wouldn’t want it to be in the fabric that it is. This was £12.99 (urk, soo much for a cami, I’m used to £2 vests from primark hehe)
Floral hi-tops… I actually had no choice about these as Azii said I had to get them. He likes shoes and he likes converse style shoes so yeah. I love them, I was surprised that they were a soft, almost velvety fabric but they are so lovely.
You can see the texture in the fabric in this close up.

I got them in a size 4 though a size 5 might have been a good idea due to the crazy tight fit – Not that I’ll let that stop me wearing them. I thought these were quite a bargain at £12.99.

Lastly we have these beauties. They were in the sale for £8 and size 4 was one of the only sizes they had left – It seemed like one of those ‘meant to be’ things. I cannot believe how beautiful these are; every time I look at them I just go ‘woooow’

Anyone who knows me knows that heels of any sort are pretty much unheard of for me but I just had to give it a try for the sake of these. The  heel is pretty big even by a normal persons standard let alone mine, but because they’re wedges I can actually walk in them. They’d hurt my legs too much for anything where I’d be walking any distance but these babies are going to be broken out for any special occasions that come up, it is absolute love.

It's lovely isn't it 🙂 I really want to get some jeggings to wear with it as it's probably a little too short, for my comfort, to wear leggings with but jeggings are just that little more covering xx

I love the first jumper…ive never been a floral person but there are some lovely offerings on the high street lately. I know what you mean about the amount you spend on clothes though, I feel even more like that when it comes to buying clothes for my 2 daughters as they grow out of clothes so quick! Almost everything of mine is from Primark…is that bad? lol xx
