Heal gel Intensive – Review

I’m really enjoying trying out various types of Skin care at the moment so when the opportunity to try out ‘Heal Gel – Intensive’ arrived it didn’t take long for me to say yes. I get lots of blemishes and I get patches of dry and sensitive skin on my face plus I have various scars and skin upsets (eczema etc) on the rest of my body thanks to various issues (including the Fibro ooh yeah) so I was very interested to see how this stuff worked for me!

As something crated by a team of plastic and cosmetic surgeons this product isn’t your standard skin care. It was, originally, manufactured to help people heal after surgeries so it has a really interesting medical background rather than the standard cosmetic one.

Rather than focusing on any one area I’ve used this, for the last month and a bit, on my whole face. I did focus on blemishes, dry patches and my under eye area but I applied it in to the rest of my face too. It has a gel/serum type texture and one pump worked on my whole face which was nice, it meant that it lasts a while (though very nearly gone!)
All in all my face feels great; my skin feels plump, smooth and healthy. I still have some dry patches but they’re not sore or aggravated now and they’re definitely on their way out. As well as that, my blemishes have healed Much quicker than normal which is something I’m Very happy with.

There’s one way in which I feel I’ve noticed a difference but I have been wondering whether or not I’m just making it up because it’s not something I was expecting – That is that my under eye discolouration seems to have improved a Lot. The blue tones under my eyes seem to be much lighter which I really didn’t think would happen. As I say, part of me thinks I’m imagining it as this isn’t even a claim that this stuff has but I am definitely feeling better about my whole eye area.
I like the plain, simple, almost medical looking packaging – It’s not overly eye catching but I think it fits nicely with the ‘personality’ of the product. The gel has as a smell to it but I don’t find it overpowering and it goes away really quickly once applied; it’s a very natural sort of scent.
This sells for £37.50 which is pretty expensive But if it works and you have a need for it then why not?! I’d planned on trying this on my scarring, stretch marks and eczema, next, to see if I get interesting results with those too, but I didn’t want to stop using it on my face. I was quite hoping not to like it so that I wouldn’t want to re-purchase it, But it turns out I’m quite a fan.
You can get ‘Heal Gel – Intensive’ plus their Eye and Face variations (You Know I’m intrigued by these two as well!) from Victoria Health and Cult Beauty.

I'd love to try this but the price is a bit too much, well at least at the moment. Even though I've got a ton of new scars from surgery my main concern is old blemish scars and stretchmarks, I've never found anything that helps with stretchmarks. I think I'll stick it on my wishlist for now!

Well I'm definitely going to start trying it out on some specific scars soon so I'll be sure to do an update when I know how it works for that.

It's not cheap but I do think it does good things – I think I'll miss it if I run out haha xx
