There’s only one magazine which I buy every month and that’s Glamour – The most affordable and quite balanced with the content I enjoy perusing it on a monthly basis.
I do, though, tend to pick up other magazines when there’s a really good freebie, as long as I can afford it and that’s why I ended up with both Glamour and Elle this month.
For £2 Glamour magazine is a good price even without any freebies but this month it was a massive bargain because it came with a free, full sized Nails Inc polish. There were four shades available, a metallic gold (which I picked, pictured above), a metallic silver, a red and a black. They all looked like lovely shades but it was the gold that stood out for me.
As well as the Nails Inc polish (as if there needed to be more!) Glamour had a Body Shop ‘Joy Card’ in it – The idea with these is that there’s a code on your card and when you go in to the Body Shop you find out whether yours is worth £3, £15 or £100. I knew mine would be £3 (which, let’s face it, is more than the magazine even cost!) so I’d decided what I’d get before I even went in – I picked up one of the festive ‘Vanilla Bliss’ shimmery lip balms (It smells Good)
When I found out that Elle was giving away free Benefit lipglosses with their magazine I just had to get one. I wasn’t sure if I’d want to get ‘Dandelion’, ‘Hoola’ or ‘Coralista’ but that decision was taken away from me when both of our local shops only had ‘Coralista’ – I’ve not worn it yet but it looks lovely and smells So nice!
With my new Benefit products bought recently it’s rather nice to have a lip product, too. And for £4 including getting a really good sized magazine to look through, I think it’s a total bargain.
And please don’t forget to enter my giveaway for the chance to win a gorgeous ‘Nude ‘tude’ palette by The Balm! Check out the linked photo in the top right of the page
