Mini Boots haul – Paid for with reward points – Models Own and Soap and Glory

We did some more Christmas shopping at Boots recently, during one of their wonderful points events. Between us my Mum and I bought enough to get the £12 worth of points added to my card – Also, during another transaction, I got a voucher for £3 off any purchase of cosmetics in the 3 for 2 offer. Clearly it was only right to take a look around on our way out of the store.

These are the three items I picked up. Unfortunately we were in a pretty big hurry so I picked up the wrong shade of the Models own Lip-Stix but the one I did get is nice so all is well.
I’ve been in love with the Soap & Glory ‘Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick’ in ‘Plum Jam’ since last year and, so, I’ve been wanting to pick up another shade for a while now. This one is ‘Nudist’ and I Love it.

Glossy, moisturising, beautiful – I want more! They retail at £8.

I was also planning on picking up one of their lip laquers but because I wasn’t sure how many points I had on my card I went for some Models Own products as I knew they would keep me within a tighter budget.

Being the lip pencil fiend that I am I picked up one of Models Own’s offerings. I had meant to get their berry coloured one but, instead, I picked up ‘Purple Pleasure’ which is a much more pinky, lavender toned purple. I like it but it’s not what I was looking for at the time (plus I think it’s quite similar to a Revlon balm stain I have but I need to check them next to each other)

Sorry for the rubbish light but here’s a swatch. I will wear this and I am Really interested by the formula so I think I will need to pick up another one in a colour that I’m more inclined to wear at the moment.

These are £5 each which is a pretty nice little bargain.

Another item from Models Own – I picked up the ‘Velvet Goth’ polish in ‘Amethyst’. I’ve loved the colour purple for a Long time, now, so when I realised how much I liked the green shade of this range ‘Absinthe’ it seemed like the logical next move to pick up this gorgeous purple shade.

These are also £5.
All in all the order would have cost me £18 but the 3 for 2 took it down to £13 and then the voucher I had took it down to £10 which I paid for with my points – So I paid zero cash for this haul, bargainous I think you’ll agree!
And don’t forget to enter my giveaway to win the ‘Nude ‘tude’ palette by The Balm – See the top right of the page; click the photo to access the page.

Love the polish – is it a overcoat or full coverage?

Definitely full coverage, the actual carrier polish has colour in too – I can't remember if I use two or three but I'm thinking two coats are probably enough, they're nice without a top coat but add a good, glossy top coat and they become something else altogether! I have the Absinthe one, too, both gorgeous
