Last week Azii and I were meant to have our third and, hopefully, final attempt at giving our intent to marry at the registry office. Unfortunately, due to one of the members of staff that I’d spoken to on the phone when I was making the appointment, we didn’t have all of the necessary documents that we needed (no idea why they decided not to tell us but the man we saw was very understanding and said he’ll be talking to the team because they really should have told us).
As such, we had a good deal of time in town – It was wet, it was miserable and I’d been crying – There didn’t seem much more to do other than a bit of retail therapy! I’d been wanting to go to TK Maxx anyway after seeing a post by the lovely Ashley at ‘Ashley London’ about some amazing bargain candles she’d picked up. And, after being dragged around some stores, Azii quite wanted to go to CEX to see if there were any computer game bargains he could pick up to cheer himself up – We both managed to get some real bargains – Retail therapy is good!
These are the beautiful things that I got from TK Maxx.
Unfortunately I only picked up one candle – Neither of the two that Ashley had posted about were in the display and Azii and I spent Ages smelling So many candles which were from various different ranges. There was one range in particular which we stopped smelling after a while as they All smelled soo bad! But, in the end, I found one which I loved called ‘Winter Berry’ and it’s the same range that Ashley’s were from so they’re clearly a good range to look out for! The candle was only £5.99 and is absolutely Massive! It smells really nice of berries with a hint of something warmer in there too and that glass jar is going to be so great when the candle is gone.
As well as the candle I found a couple of other bits, which made up for there not being as many candles that I liked. The vintage style candle holder was only £1.99 (which I could barely believe) and I fell in love with it instantly. Same with the note pad, really, I’m obsessed with roses and this design is So nice – I love note pads and this one was £2.99. It’s going to be my handbag notepad from now on, for jotting down whatever comes to me during the time that I’m out and about.
Firstly, I was quite gutted to be pandering to a rather bad stereotype – The idea that girl gamers only play things like the DS. But, in my defence, I have a ps3 as well as the ds and neither really get played at the moment – I used to be really into my games but since having Ethan I’ve had so much less time for everything that gaming took a back seat. So whilst we were in CEX looking for things for Azii I stumbled across the Brain Trainer game for £1 and if my brain has ever been in the need for some training it’s now!
Viva Pinata was bought because I know Azii likes it but I also think Ethan will like it – Most of the child oriented games were really expensive or really bad whereas I think we’ll both like this one. I also picked up the Professor Layton game as I’ve always wanted to, and heard so much about them, plus it’s more to try and get my brain working.
Some amazing bargains, I think you’ll agree – Just wanted to share with you some of the bits I picked up. I can’t wait to start burning that candle, it’s going to smell divine. And Azii’s brought one of his old DS’ back from his Mum’s place; Ethan’s adopted mine and Azii’s old one is much nicer than mine was anyway as mine was the oldest of the old models. (Yes Azii is the sort of guy that has multiple consoles, he’s That much of a gamer)
