I’m a little bit stunned to be writing this today – I was really excited yesterday when the tracking number showed that my box was coming but when it changed to say that it had been attempted and failed and would be re-attempted on Monday I was pretty gutted (It definitely hadn’t been attempted).
Anyway, that leads me on to today – It’s a Sunday, we don’t get posts or deliveries on a Sunday… apart from today it seems. There it was, sat in my porch this morning!
Ooh how pretty! There’s been some Nice Glossybox designs but this may be my favourite. Just to clarify, this is the Christmas special edition box, not the normal December box – It was £25 for subscribers and has some fab products in it.
Some very exciting brands in there!
First up is the Philip B ‘African Shea Butter – Gentle & Conditioning Shampoo’ – A decent 60ml sample I think it’ll be a nice product to use, I don’t have super dry hair but I do like to use conditioning and nourishing products to keep it nice. A 220ml bottle sells for £18.50 on BeautyBay.
I was rather pleased to see a So Susan product in the box. I only just begun trying products from this brand, through their Laquerlove nail polish box and really enjoy them. This is a ‘Water based Pure Luminizer’
I quite love the packaging on this product, so pretty but also fresh and a bit modern – This is a full sized 15ml tube and retails at £25 so that covers the cost of the box alone.
Quite a ‘wet’ formula this came out of the tube really easily, a nice pink toned shade.
And ooh the pretty!
I like a good highlighting product and I like this a Lot!
My camera did Not want to pick up the correct shade on this but I managed to get it quite close – This Butter London polish in ‘Teetotal’ is a nice mushroom shade – Not particularly festive but rather nice none the less, I like it a lot and I’m looking forward to trying it out. Very pleased to have my second Butter London polish – This 11ml, full sized product, sells for £12.
This is the Absolute! ‘Perfume Stick’ – I quite love the design of this packaging, gorgeous and very luxe.
Products like this are amazing for keeping in your handbag , I’m a big fan. The plastic tube that holds the actual product is really pretty, as with the outer packaging, and it feels like and sturdy. The scent is quite sweet so it won’t be for everyone – Me? I love it. This sells for £9.50.
The EuPhidra ‘Pearly lip gloss’ in the shade ‘Mandarino’ is, again, in some pretty luxe looking packaging. I probably wouldn’t have picked up a gloss this shade, myself, but now that I have it I’m sure I’ll be able to get plenty of use out of it (I’m really going for glosses a lot at the moment)
This sheer pink gloss is Filled with pearlescent shimmer so it’s going to give a fab party look over the top of some lipstick or a more sheer, shimmery look for a slightly dressed up daytime look. This gloss is worth £11.90.
I’m not 100% sure I’ve been sent the right product with this Be a Bombshell bronzer – My little card thing says I should be getting a blush which leaves a rosy glow which flatters all skin tones – Instead I have a Very dark bronzer which will Not flatter my very pale skin tone.
I wasn’t going to swatch it but in the pan I thought it had enough pink to it that I could, maybe, wear it as a blusher but, sadly, swatching it put pay to that idea.
I can’t imagine ever being able to use this. Quite wish I’d not swatched it as I could have put it in a giveaway but never mind! The blush in my card is worth £9.95 and I’d guess this would be the same.
Overall I am utterly thrilled with this box – The So Susan, the Butter London and the solid perfumes are standout favourites for me and I think that the Be a bombshell would have been if I’d got a blush with a rosy glow!
The value of these products Far outweigh the cost of this box And I see the majority of these products being great to help you get ready for the Festive, party season.
Ooh and don’t forget to enter my Giveaways! Only a day or two left on the shadow palette one HERE and just over a week for the necklace HERE
