MeMeMe Cosmetics buy - 'Bye Buy Sale'

I am a really big fan of the brand Mememe. I love all of the products that I've bought from them and really would repurchase a lot of them. I love the quality of everything I've tried; especially the nail polishes, lipsticks and face powder, and the packaging is just absolutely gorgeous. I, especially, love the range of colours that they offer in a lot of the products, they have some really beautiful shades in a lot of items. Their website is an absolute joy to peruse, it's just such a pretty site (Which is good as they're stocked in superdrug but my local superdrug no longer has a stand).

All of this for £13

A mini book haul - January 2013

I just want to show you a few of the books that I've got this week. The first was mentioned in a book haul by Lena at 'jsutkissmyfrog', the second was recommended in a video by Lily at 'What I heart today' and the third wasn't recommended by anyone but the format of 'flipback' books was shown, again, by Lena and I really wanted to try something in that format.

Use for the empty 'Crazy Sexy Kohl' tin from Soap and Glory

If anyone was lucky enough to get given (Or get their hands on after xmas) the 'Crazy Sexy Kohl' set by Soap and Glory then you, too, will have ended up with five really good quality, lovely coloured kohl eye liner pencils which fit nicely in a make up case and three beautiful shades of very good quality eye shadow which fit... well only in the plastic insert that goes in the tin that the set came in.

Unboxing Latest in Beauty 'Complexion Perfection Collection'

Wow those last three words in the title really do make it a mouthful!

I discovered Latest in Beauty just after Christmas as I was umming and ahhing about using some of my Christmas money on a few months subscription to a beauty box. After looking in to it a lot I decided that instead of a full on subscription to either of the front runners, I'd get the 'Little beauty box's from Latest in Beauty and then get one of their collection boxes from time to time - Less money and more control over what I receive, I like it!

Post Christmas 2012 Haul - Part 3 - Primark

As with cosmetics, it's only been more recently that I've branched out with clothing. It's been longer than with beauty products, but it's still only been a few years; before then I used to wear jeans that were too big with, mostly, plain vest tops and band hoodies. It was comfortable, quite practical but not very interesting and not at all flattering. I still find it very hard to spend a lot of money on clothes, but then, that's where primark steps in. Where it used to be my haven for £1, plain, cotton, vest tops, I now am able to find things which I think are pretty as well as comfortable, a concept which has been alien to me for most of my life.

I've had two visits since Christmas and I picked up a few bits which I've been really really happy with, just going to stick with images for this post, those and a few captions speak for themselves.

Post Christmas 2012 Hauls - Part 2 - Benefit

I decided to put the Benefit bits in to their own post for my post Christmas hauls series as I got quite a few bits and want to avoid my posts being as long as my last one!

I was very very lucky when it came to picking up some Benefit bits and bobs after Christmas. I've never owned any of their products before, being a newbie, and being limited in funds; but the bargain shopper that I am managed to get things that I'm really excited about, from various sites.

Post Christmas 2012 Hauls - Part 1 - Nyx, Crown Brushes, Stila

Ever since I did some shopping with my Christmas money I have been planning on doing some haul type posts. I keep not doing them, probably because I know that my current readers probably won't want to read them that much (Or maybe they do, who knows heh), but these are the sorts of posts I want to do if I had more readers so I plan to start as I mean to go on!

As I say, regularly, and anyone who knows me already knows. I'm a total beauty newbie. I used to be a lipbalm/gloss, eye liner (only kohl and only on the waterline) and nail polish sort of girl, but over the past couple of years I've, slowly, become more and more interested and, now, I really am quite obsessed with the whole concept - I love cosmetics, body care, skin care, hair care etc; reading reviews, watching vlogs, reading blogs and, when I can afford it, buying the odd bits and bobs.

So, for the first time ever, the majority of my Christmas money went on beauty products. Still quite hard to believe, still such a huge change!

MOA balm - first reactions / mini review

I'm a big fan of trying to find products which help speed up the healing process. I used to heal relatively quickly, but since the fibro got so much worse I heal so so so slowly, which is something said to be linked to the condition.

I have arnica cream for bruises, though I often forget to use it and, so, have shins covered in bruises which looks not dissimilar to my school yard days. It's not a good look.

Wedding planning and all that fun

The Fiance and I have been engaged since last July but we hadn't really discussed when we would actually get married as we're currently living in different places so it didn't seem a priority.

Until I saw the most amazing offer on Groupon, that is. We didn't get our offer from Groupon due to the date restrictions, but after I spoke to the absolutely lovely lady who is there wedding coordinator we now have a very very good wedding package and have our wedding booked, and deposit paid (both to venue and registrar). It's crazy that we've gone from no real plans to having the bulk of the day sorted out; the astounding package that we've been given includes use of one of their very nice rooms for the ceremony, reception and an evening do. Includes arrival drinks, drinks for toasts, a three course wedding breakfast and a finger buffet for the evening. And that's not to mention the fact that we get their resident dj for the evening do, a room for The Fiance and I on the night of the wedding and lots of other little bits and pieces that are often included in wedding packages like reduced room rates for guests and use of a cake stand etc.

Invaluable toddler winter nightware

Just a short post today, none of the promised haul posts because obviously I'm just rubbish. But a quick parenting post because I'm still very much in the early stages of developing what I want this blog to be and I do want it to be a parenting/family blog as well as the things I've been writing about more recently.

Latest in Beauty and You advent calendar

Ok, so before I get in to why I'm blogging about a calendar in mid January I'm actually going to give a reason for my late night blogging, this time. Turns out that falling asleep for an hour after I get the boy to bed doesn't help when it comes to sleeping at actual night time, who'd have guessed it?! Ok, so it's obvious... but I honestly couldn't stay awake and I actually felt awake enough to eat dinner afterwards so there were benefits to the nap - Being awake at 3am isn't one of them though. It's a vicious vicious cycle of sleeplessness, naps, insomnia and utter, utter exhaustion; Fibro 1 - Me 0.

But, I digress. This post is about one of the most exciting things I bought with my christmas money. I use the term exciting lightly because I know that a lot of people who're in to beauty won't find it exciting, at all, as they knew about it months and months ago. But it's exciting to me, and so would be exciting to others like me!

NYE 2012 - Nail polish and wine

I've only ever been on a big night out for New years once. It was a really good night with people I am still friends with, some I don't see very often and some I'm not friends with at all any more. But I'm not really a big night out person, and new years eve is big night out x 100! I'd rather spend some time with family but I live with my mum and her husband who don't really celebrate, I can't get to my dad's side of the family so easily and the fiancee is at home as he has work tomorrow; another negative point to long distance.
