Boots and Primark Haul – Includes Soap and Glory and La Roche-Posay – January 2014

My Mum and I had to pop to town because we had things to return after Christmas and she also took Ethan for a bit so that I had a chance to browse Primark and Boots on my own! Sadly there was only One thing I wanted in Primark and I got so much make-up for Christmas that I didn’t want to get too much. But, this is me, I did do a little purchasing…

This is what I picked up from Primark – It was, originally, £12 but marked down to £5 which is the sort of bargain I love. I wasn’t totally in love with the cardigan until I actually wore it – It’s oversized in exactly the right way in that it doesn’t just look silly big, it’s just right and it’s soo comfy. I wish there had been some more things I wanted whilst I actually Had some money to spend but that’s life I guess – Definitely worth going to see if you can find any bargains in your local store, though!
I remembered that the La Roche-Posay range had been on offer when I was browsing the Boots site so I thought I’d see if the Effaclar Duo was in stock when I was in store – It was the Last one! I got it for £9.75 rather than the standard £13. Looking forward to seeing if this works as well for me as it does for others – I’m trying out some new skincare at the moment so this will have to wait a while, but looking forward to it once I can use it.

I had been wanting to try the Soap & Glory Lip lacquers ever since I heard about them but they kept being out of stock when I did online orders – I decided I was Definitely going to get one with my Christmas money so wandered on over to the S&G stand… Cosmetics were Clearly on 3 for 2 and there wasn’t anything I Really wanted at that time so the Obvious answer was to get three shades of the lip lacquers!

I picked up from top to bottom ‘Charm Offensive’, ‘Whatchamacoral’ and ‘Muse Bouche’ – One every day shade and then one more s/s and one more a/w – That’s planning ahead that is! I’ll do swatches for these in a post once I’ve used them a bit and can let you know my first thoughts. These were £7 each, but obviously I only paid £14 for 3 with the offer.

That's the kind of cardi that would work over a casual dress in Spring and Autum as well. You know, it never occurd to me that makeup would be in the Jan sales as well – duh! lol
