Birchbox UK - Unboxing / Review - February 2014

It's Birchbox time! I wasn't sure whether or not to re-sub after getting an amazing deal on my last 6 month sub, but when I got the chance to re-sub for 6 months with two boxes free... Well here's February's box!

I'm very very impressed with this month's box and if you are too, and decide to sign up then please go ahead and use my referral link - It'll give me £5 worth of points in the Birchbox shop And it'll give you the same! The link is  http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=19096

This months theme is quite a vague one, focusing on the idea of style, but I quite like it when it's like that as I don't see why there needs to be too strong a theme, as long as the items are good (which they are!) then it doesn't matter all that much!

And here's what there is... yup, it really does cover Everything! Body care, hair care, skin care, nails, cosmetics and a little treat!

My eyes were instantly drawn to the full sized Leighton Denny nail polish because... well it's a full sized Leighton Denny nail polish! That's a really exciting thing to me, I Love Leighton Denny but they're a rather expensive brand so I don't get to try them too often - And this soft peachy colour which is, 'Meet Me in Monaco' will be perfect for those spring months which we'll, hopefully, be ushering in soon? Please? A full sized Leighton Denny polish is worth £11 ... So that's the box almost paid for then!

Next up we have Beauty Protector's 'Protect & Oil' hair oil which is supposed to help prevent UV damage, heat damage and breakage. I like hair oils quite a lot, they're a bit daunting before you try them but once you do you'll see the wonder that they are. This little bottle smells absolutely divine and I want my hair to smell like this All of the time! It doesn't say what size the bottle is (I'd guess 10ml but please don't be mad if I'm wrong!) but considering you're only meant to use 1-3 drops a go this should last a good while - The full size of this costs £16.

There's no doubt in my mind that I am being stalked by dark chocolate now, almost every box I've had in recent memory has had some sort of dark chocolate in it! I don't like dark chocolate but Green and Blacks are a good brand so I shall add it to my little collection to bake with. In terms of lifestyle extras it's not bad, though some milk chocolate next time, please?!

Next we've got this Gilchrist & Soames 'London Collection' shower gel - This smells nice in a generic, high quality shower gel way, does that make any sense? It smells refreshing and has red tea, grape seed and milk thistle in, it's not my favourite ever scent but it does smell nice and it just Looks like good quality!
This bottle is a reasonably sized 45ml and a full size is 236ml (weird size!) and is worth £13.75.

The Eyeko 'Skinny Mini Liquid Eyeliner' wasn't a surprise to me as it was revealed via Facebook, I try to avoid any spoilers but this was revealed by clues which I knew the answer to so hard to avoid. I have one of these and they're good liners - I don't use liner a lot as I'm not good at it and have annoying eyes for using liner with But when I do I want a nice quality liquid liner to do it with so I'm more than happy to get one of these. A full sized version costs £12.

Lastly we have an UrbanVeda 'Radiance Exfoliating Face Polisher' - I'm always happy to get some nice, natural skin care in a box because I am still not settled on a skincare routine even though my skin is so so much better already. I like the idea of using more natural products so a brand like this is exactly the type of thing I want to be trying out. I don't exfoliate too often as I don't want it to aggravate my skin but I do from time to time and this amazing smelling product is definitely going in to my 'to try soon' list. Hopefully this 20ml sample will last a nice length of time - A full sized tube is 125ml and is a very reasonable £8.99.

I'm incredibly happy with this box - The fact that it caters for so many aspects of beauty is fantastic plus it has a really good range of brands, most of which I've heard of but not had a chance to try. The value of the items is really good and the sample sizes is great - Even the smallest sample is something you don't use much of so should have plenty of uses from. Very very good month, Birchbox, thank you for making me glad I re-subbed!
