Urban Decay purchases for my Birthday - 'Chase' shadow, 'Beso' lipgloss and 'Fiend' lipstick - Haul and swatches

I've got a rather lovely haul to share with you all, I ordered myself some bits from Urban Decay with some of my Birthday money - It's funny, starting up my giveaway made me realise that I don't have enough Urban Decay products! As such I thought I'd get myself some bits and was somewhat inspired by the giveaway items that I had picked, so I'll show you what I got. If my products make you want a go at winning a similar product, yourself, then check out my giveaway, it's got a little over a week left! The post to enter is here: http://www.petitmoi-bigworld.co.uk/2014/02/its-my-birthday-international-worldwide.html

Because I bought two items of Urban Decay from FeelUnique I got a sample size of the primer potion, for free, which was rather nice. I've had smaller samples of it before, but not used them yet, but I love the little tubes and so I'm rather pleased with it.

This is the Revolution lipstick that I picked, in the shade 'Fiend' - The lipstick tube is quite difficult to photograph because of it being so reflective But it is absolutely gorgeous. I love the look of it, it's got a distinctive shape and the shade of the metal is just a bit special, not to mention how strong it feels and how good quality - The Revolution lipsticks cost £15.

This is 'Fiend' swatched on the hand - The pigmentation is phenomenal and the shade is just beautiful, a deep rose shade it's really really flattering and I think it's bright enough for summer but deep enough for winter which is what I was hoping for, an all year round shade. I've worn it, once, so far and was Very impressed with how long it lasted.

One of the newest editions to the Naked range are the new Ultra Nourishing lip glosses and, as I've been really loving lip glosses recently, I was really hoping to try one. I went for the shade 'Beso' as all of the shades are quite neutral but this one was the deepest shade and had a slight plum hint to it. The formula is beautiful and not at all sticky with a slight minty smell to it.

I love the shade and it's nice and sheer on the lips but gives just enough colour. I can see myself wearing this one a Lot! The glosses are priced at £14.

Lastly I got a single shadow in 'Chase' - I looked at some swatches online and this one looked like a tarnished gold sort of shade which I can see in the pan, too. But once I swatched it myself it didn't look like that, thankfully it's still gorgeous, though! I have UD shadows in a couple of palettes and they're wonderfully soft and pigmented but this single shadow surprised me by being even more so! The single shadows cost £14.

A couple of swatches of the shade - You can see how gorgeous it is, I didn't capture a shot of it really shimmering but you get the idea from these two. I absolutely love the shade but it'll take a bit of work getting used to trying to get such little product otherwise it'll swamp my eyes! But. yes, love love love it. Love all of the products I've got.

I will try to use them in some looks, or do some more in depth reviews of them, but we'll see what happens as time goes on!

  2. Just picked up one from the Naked lipgloss range as a pre-birthday treat, I ended up going for Liar which is really quite pale. I do love it but looking at Beso I kind of wish I would have gone for that one first.

  3. Great Post! I really need the Urban Decay Naked Lip Gloss - I was thinking "Walk of Shame" but "Beso" does look rather tempting as well.
