Wantable in the UK - Intimates box - March 2014 unboxing

I promised I'd get an Intimates box from Wantable so that you could see all three types that are available - You can see my makeup box post Here and my accessories box Here; they were both fantastic.

The response I've had from most of you, on previous boxes, are 'Wow they're amazing, shame it's so expensive' and I totally understand why. I've Loved getting these boxes and I wish I could afford to carry them on. I'm contemplating getting one more with my birthday money but goodness if I could decide which box to get! I know the boxes are expensive but, when you compare them to other subscription services they are a Very good value - If you do have some space in your budget, or if you're feeling disheartened with other subscription services then it's definitely worth considering these. I know if I ever get a spot in my budget, these will be near the top of my list!

If anyone is looking to sign up then I'd really appreciate you using my affiliate link (an affiliate link won't affect you or your sign up, it'll just give me a lil' payment for referring you!) - It's here: Wantable.com

Despite the fact that it came All the way from the US this is my first subscription box of the month (hint hint uk based companies!) I was very excited to see what I'd got as I've seen past US boxes and there's been some beautiful items in this type of box.

These beautiful grey (with a slight hint of green maybe? I can't tell) footless tight from 'Muk Luks' is the first thing I picked up out of the box - They're a medium and they're quite a tight fit but, being tights, that'd what you'd expect. I've worn them today and they're really comfy, I've never had nice tights like these before, mostly gone for leggings. These made a night change though I was uber aware that they're more sheer so was paranoid about the wind and my dress! Haha - These retail for $15.

I've kept these folded up just because then it feels a bit less like I'm showing you my pants, haha! But these gorgeously soft, white lace pants by Montelle were the next thing I picked up - I don't have anything quite as special as these and they're just beautiful. I've not worn them yet, but I get the feeling that when they do they'll feel like something quite special too. These retail for an impressive $22!

Next I've got this black, soft bra. I was really hoping I'd get a soft bra in my box, though I had more hoped for something pretty as they'd had in last months boxes. Now that I've worn it, though, I'm more than happy to throw pretty out of the window as this thing is the most comfortable thing I've Ever worn! I know it doesn't look very pretty, when it's on it looks much better as it has a bit of ruching in the front so it looks like a slightly prettier sports bra But looks aside, honestly, comfort realised! I wish I had more of these so I could wear them every day. This is actually Wantable's own product and is worth $20.

Lastly, and most definitely not least, I got this beautiful, cute slip with rose bud pattern and a pink lace trim. It's in quite a shiny fabric so it's got a good cling to it, so I'm only going to want to wear it on my less bloated days but it's just beautiful.

I love this, a lot, it's just the cutest design ever and I can't wait to wear it - Very feminine and very very pretty. This is the most expensive item from my box and retails at $44, it's made by the brand Kirby's.

So the grand total value of this box is $101  - Not bad at all! I think the concept behind this box is lovely, as with the other boxes you get to veto items that just aren't for you and there's some really nice fun options in there )I've seen people getting some great loungewear and some bright, patterned socks) or there's the more functional, or the more pretty or a mix of them all. There's something nice about getting a surprise box every month, every subscription box lover already knows that feeling. I love the feeling of getting beauty boxes but when it comes to the standard subs I'm starting to get to the point where it's more of the same - The Wantable make-up boxes are pretty special and don't feel much like other brands, the accessories are a fabulous idea and the intimates are so special feeling. If I were to subscribe to Wantable I'd be totally torn as to which type of box to get, I did mention to them the idea of a mix box where you got a couple of some types and one of another so you got a bit of everything - Who knows we could be seeing the first intimates, accessories and make-up hybrid sub box in the future!

  1. This seems like a great concept. I can't help but be put off Wantable though because of all the bad reviews I have seen

    1. They're really good, Mary, in that they have a really comprehensive questionnaire that you fill in when you sign up and they take your measurements, ask sizes etc. I don't remember what sizes it went up to but there was definitely a lot of options so I assume it went quite low and quite high

  4. These look lovely although I am a bit sceptical about trying lingerie in the post. I do normally like to try on before buying. What happens if there are items I don't like?

    1. Yeah, that's the danger of subscription boxes, in general, really. You pay for the chance to try out new things, and often end up with things of a much higher value than you paid - But there's no promise you'll like it.

The way in which Wantable are better than other companies, though, is that they have some really impressive questionnaires so they can have a good idea of your likes and dislikes before they pick for your box. You can also veto certain types of item so that you'll never get them in your box.

  5. That sounds like a really nice idea, which I would do if I wasn't so broke! Nothing like opening a surprise.

    1. Yeah, I wish I could keep my sub up, but never mind! I got my first box from them to review and then I bought my second box and got my third for free.

I wish there was a UK based company who did this sort of thing because it'd be more affordable (There's lots of boxes but not ones that do things as Wantable do)

  6. I like the sound of getting a surprise box each month but I'd feel guilty for splashing out so much on myself.

    1. Yup, I'd never have justified it if I hadn't been getting my two boxes for the price of one (and I paid for it with my earnings from my first paid post as I saw it as an investment with Wantable coming over here, now, so I could give my readers a good insight into the service) - Just wish I could afford to keep the service up!

  8. I love the idea of a mixed wantable box! I've just had my first intimates one, and it was lovely (though I'm a touch jealous of your pretty slip!) - I've seen great reviews of the make up ones too, so a mixed one would be right up my street!
