You Beauty Discovery Box – Unboxing / Review – March 2014

I was rather excited when I saw the menu for this months You Beauty Discovery Box – There was a few favourite brands on offer and some impressive sized products for such an affordable box (£6.95 a month including p+p!) – Each month I think I’ve been more and more impressed with these guys, just a fantastic, affordable service with some amazing brands.

There’s Aromatherapy Associates, Rimmel, Body Shop (oos now, though, sadly) and others as well as the brands I picked myself! The only reason I didn’t get the full sized Body shop cleansing balm was because I read some posts suggesting that the product wasn’t good for combination skin and my skin is, most definitely, combination. So, instead of what I didn’t get, let me show you what I did get!

This months theme is Best of British which is a term I definitely agree with, there’s some stand out products available, it was hard to pick just two!
And here’s what I got in my March box – A full sized item, a biiig sample sized item, a beauty tool and some tea – An impressive box indeed.
The moment I saw this on the list, this was an must for me. A lot of people are put off by the name Dr Lipp ‘Nipple Balm for Lips’, or think it sounds weird at the very least, but I was intrigued from the first time I heard about it and was very glad to have some sample tubes in last boxes. My intrigue paid off and I quickly became a fan of this product so the chance to get a full size, 15ml tube was not one I was going to say no to. I definitely recommend giving this a go if you’re not sure, it doesn’t work for everyone but if you’ve not tried this sort of product before it might be worth a go.
My second product is the ‘GlycoWash’ cleansing wash from BeautyLab – This is a brand I’d heard of before but never had the chance to try so I was interested to see what I could find out about this product. With my skin being prone to breakouts I was impressed by the claims to remove impurities, unclog pores and refine and cleanse as well as helping to prevent future breakouts – If it does half of what it says it will then it’ll be great! Though I’m not sure I can afford to fall in love as the full 200ml bottle costs £32! (This one is 100ml so that’s an impressive costing item)
The first of the two items that went in all boxes was a couple of tea samples from Dragonfly Tea – Some people aren’t a fan of tea in boxes, I love tea so I’m more than happy to get it. These have rather beautiful names and seem a bit interesting to I’m looking forward to giving them a go.
I’m a big fan of The Vintage Cosmetic Company and have been getting items of theirs for some time now. When I saw that it was the chance of tweezers, false lashes or toe separators I was hoping for the separators even though that’s the least exciting. I already have two sets of their tweezers and I don’t wear lashes. But, never mind because these are great tweezers so I am going to be able to find someone else who’ll love them, though there’s also the chance they’ll find their way into a future giveaway!

I’m sure you’ll all see why this box is impressive. I was gutted to find that the Body shop balm didn’t suit my skin type but that’s life and I think I’ve got two fab products – Thrilled to have a new, full sized Dr Lipp and a big sized new product to try!

I got exactly the same items in my box including the flavours of tea except I got the toe separators and was hoping for the tweezers! haha. I'm in love with the lip balm already, so glad it was in this box as I had been eyeing it up for a while now after reading so many good reviews on it. x

I really want to try some of these subscription boxes but never get round to it. Must try harder this month!
