We had a convergence of delivery men today, one arrived with a beautiful order I made of Ollie & Nic products and another arrived with my Asos order And my Birchbox UK order! I was rather surprised considering I’d not long seen a post from the Birhcbox team to say boxes were being dispatched today but there ya go, I’m not complaining!
If you like this months box and want to subscribe then I’d love it if you used my link because, if you do, you’ll get £5 worth of points in the Birchbox store and I’ll get the same, yay! My link is here: http://birchbox.co.uk/?raf=19096
I believe that this months theme is ‘Good Enough To Eat’ which is a rather interesting concept when you consider it’s a beauty box but I was rather interested to see how they adhered to this theme and, actually, was quite impressed!
And here’s a sneak peak of what’s in my box – I was rather excited and quite happy with what I was seeing, so let me show you in more detail what the items actually are!
I’ve seen RMK items come up in boxes a lot in the past but never actually had one of the products myself so I was rather pleased to get one in my box this time; a brand I’ve been intrigued by for a while! This is a 15ml bottle of their Make Up Base which is supposed to smoothe and hydrate the skin as well as making foundation last, it definitely sounds like the sort of product I’d like to use. The full size of this is 30ml and costs £28… this has me in shock as that means our bottle is half of full size and, so, worth £14?!
Next up we have Yin Yang’s ‘pH-Amino Gold Defence Lotion’ which is supposed heal and protect skin. This is a 10ml tube which should give a nice amount of uses, the full size is 200ml and costs £17.95.
I was rather pleased to see a product from ‘The Balm’ in my box, especially as I’ve heard a lot about this particular product so I can, now, try it out! This is their cheek & lip cream called ‘How ‘Bout Them Apples?’ which is, as always, one of their fun and cheeky names.
My cute sample contains the shade ‘Apple Pie’ which looks like a really good shade to use to try out the product and see if it’s worth investing in the palette which retails at £26.
I’ve only tried a couple of things from the ‘Yes To’ ranges so I was happy enough to get another product from them in this box in the shape of the ‘Yes to Cucumbers’ Soothing face towelletes. I don’t use face wipes much but I will from time to time and these seem like a good brand to try out for the rare occasions when I use them. This sample pack contains 10 wipes and a full sizes pack contains 30 and sells for £4.99.
Color Club, color club wooo color club! Yes I am a Color Club fan and am very happy to have a new shade of theirs in this box. You may have already been aware that we got one of these shades, this month, if you’re a subscriber as we were give the chance to decide which shade we wanted as long as we made the decision before a certain date. I really liked this idea as it gives people the chance to get a shade that suits their tastes rather than ending up with something that’s not really for them. I went for the shade ‘Gold Struck’ and isn’t it beautiful! I am thrilled with it, and can’t wait to try it. These minis come in a set of four for £15 so the single polish has a nice value to it too.
I’m far too excited about this wee bag of Propercorn. I Love Propercorn and Azii and I buy their Sweet and Salty flavour from time to time as a special treat. I assume that ‘Sweet Coconut & Vanilla’ is a new flavour and I cannot wait to try it! This is my favourite lifestyle extra for a while! A full sized bag of these costs 90p.
I’m rather happy with this box – Some brands I love, some brands I want to try, samples with great value and some things which I Know I’m going to love. Best box in a while Birchbox, thank you!
