Makeup Revolution’s ‘Iconic 3’ palette vs ‘Naked 3’ palette – Successful dupe? Wait and see!

I, normally, try to avoid posting twice in one day because it uses up two days worth of posts in half the time… but there’s just certain posts that cannot wait and you are reading one of them!

The moment I saw ‘Iconic 3’ on the Makeup Revolution website I had a feeling that it was going to be an impressive Naked 3 palette dupe but I had no idea quite How good until I started taking photos of the shades next to each other today! Prepare to be impressed!
You can get a pretty good idea of how similar they are Just from this in pan shot, it’s hard with shadow falling in different places but I think you can see there’s some pretty impressive comparisons even at this early stage!

But let’s get on to the swatches, I know those are what you Really want!

Being the lightest shades these were the hardest to photograph. The other problem I’ve had with all of them is that putting them on  my hand means that the light hits them all differently, but I think I’ve managed to capture the similarities – You’ll have to tell me what you think?

I’d love to know which level you prefer too. As it happens the top line is the Naked 3 swatches and the bottom three are Iconic 3 – The matte shade is slightly paler in the Iconic 3 but only the tiniest bit, with the second shade the Iconic 3 is actually more pigmented but incredibly similar if you catch them in the right light, as in the second photo. The last two are slightly different, a browner tone to the Iconic 3 shade, and more coppery from Naked 3 – BUT they are still Very very similar as you can see.

Don’t need a whole lot of words for this one, you can see how amazing they are. Again the matte shade is a little paler and it’s a little browner but, barely… and then the other two, just wow, especially the middle ones. Though, again, the last two it seems that ‘Iconic 3’ is marginally more pigmented?

And again… slightly more brown for the matte shade but beyond that there really is very little to say!!
Last three and, yet again, what do I say?! Please say you can see this as well as I can?! It was hard to pick up the pink glitter in both of the last shades and a lot of it is to do with angles, they were near on identical though… in fact, oh just look!

I can, honestly, say that I think this is the closest dupe I’ve ever seen – There’s a couple of differences but the ones that are the same are borderline identical and the ones that Are different are only such in a small way…

I am still glad I have Naked 3, it’s nice to have the ‘original’ sometimes but I am definitely going to turn to my Iconic 3 palette Very regularly as it’s So similar and so much more affordable to replace!

I’ve not, yet, used Iconic 3 on the eye so I can’t say anything about longevity, but the quality of them in swatching was definitely comparable. Nicely done Makeup Revolution, very very nicely done!

I haven't splashed out on the Naked 3 palette yet, it's on my Birthday Wishlist but I can buy the Iconic 3 dupe until I get my pressie! I'll probably use it more as well as its inexpensive to replace, Can't wait until Makeup Revolution arrives in stores!

Hi, I was wondering how the quality of the Makeup Revolution shadows compare to the ones from MUA. I know MUA don't have a dupe for the Naked 3, but with the price of the Makeup Revolution palettes costing the same as the MUA palettes, I was wondering if one was better than the other. Thanks.

The quality of these is fantastic, without a doubt as good as MUA, they're both fantastic quality for the price
