Makeup Revolution's 'Iconic 3' palette - First impressions and swatches (The first Naked 3 dupe!?)

So this is the post I've been itching to write ever since I made my order but, my goodness, has it been against me to get this post up! First there was delivery problems, now the light is not great, I've had to deal with pre-schooler poop And I lost my SD card under the sofa... BUT, finally, here it is!

Makeup Revolution's 'Iconic 3' palette:

Let's get our honesty caps out here and say that this is Clearly a stunning Naked 3 dupe, people are always wary of saying it but my goodness anyone who doesn't think so is daft, there ya go, I said it!

Those gorgeous pink/rose gold toned shadows are just beautiful! There's a mix of mattes, shimmers and ones with a more subtle sheen and each and every one of them is beautiful in its own way. Come on, let's get straight on to the swatching!

You'll have to excuse things in the background, I was so eager to get this post done that I didn't do my normal clearup of background items to the same level that I normally do.

But here's the first three shades! As you can see, and would expect, the super pale matte shade is hard to pick up but it's still definitely there. The other two shades are just stunning and applied beautifully with no trouble at all.

Just wanted to get them with the light on them so you can see the shimmer in the middle shade and the sheen of the right hand shade - How beautifully they catch the light.

There was no trouble getting this second matte shade to show up, it's a subtle dusky pink so it's not in your face but it's definitely there. The two shimmer shades glide on with no effort at all and are super pigmented.

And again with the light, just look at that shimmer!

Every time I do swatches of a palette I swear there's one shade that I end up swatching as a much wider swipe than the others, totally unintentional but there you go. This matte shade is more brown toned but, still, with that pinky undertone, very nice. And we're onto the darker shimmer and sheen shades, too.

And, again, how they behave in the light - Incredibly beautiful.

And the last three - We're on to taupey shades and that infamous dark brown/black with a pink/red shimmer hidden in it as well as that gorgeous mink shade in the middle... how could you not want to play with these the moment you see them?

And, lastly, in the light. Look how the pink shimmers through in the black shade... mesmerising.

And that's that, I didn't want to spend a lot of time describing the shades because I am not great at that and you can see them for yourself! What you'll want to know is how they stand up against Naked 3 shades and, for that, you shall have to watch this space! I shall attempt some comparison pics in the coming days! Don't forget to follow me if you want to see more like this, and more Makeup Revolution (including the chance to win a bundle that has this Gorgeous palette amongst the goodies!)
