I thought I’d share a some swatches of a few of the products that I got in my bag of goodies at the Makeup Revolution launch – You’d be right if you assumed that this is a Very picture heavy post, I don’t want to skimp on the details! (It’s, also, safe to note that these are the three things which I will be getting duplicates of once my order arrives so there may be a giveaway for these three gorgeous products once I get something set up!).
I’ll start with something that stands out as just really rather stunning, to me, and which I think you’re all going to go ‘Ooooooh’ at and that’s the ‘Copper’ Metal Eye Foil.
Coming in at £5 this is a very eye catching product, even just conceptually, before you get in to the formula and pigmentation etc. The set comes boxes with a shadow, a liquid primer and a little mixing tray.
I absolutely love the concept of this product and think it’s going to be really popular with beauty junkies and makeup artists alike – It gives an added dimension to makeup that you don’t normally find on the high street. And then there’s the formula of that shadow… Oh that shadow…
Just look how dense and pigmented that colour is, it’s just stunning!
And here it is catching the light, it really gleams like a polished metal, gorgeous isn’t even a good enough word.
The two swatches I’ve posted are of it just applied straight from the pot, I’ve not tried mixing it with the liquid primer yet and the liquid primer is meant to further intensify it so Just Imagine what that’s going to be like considering how intense and densely pigmented this is on its own! Yes, this is a winner for me!
Next up I’m going to show you this lipstick in the shade ‘The One’. These are priced at an incredibly low £1 so make for a fantastic way to try out different shades (and the range includes some incredibly daring primary shades which you can see in my post for the launch HERE) . There are also some limited edition ranges available at the moment so if you want some shades it’d be worth checking if they’re permanent or ltd edition and if they’re only around a short while then snap them up quick!
The dratted light in my living room has made this look a little paler than it is, in reality this shade is a gentle nude with slight pink tones to it, I just wanted to show you what the packaging is like in this post, really – Very nice rose gold lettering on the bullet and an all-over simple design beyond that.
I think, in this instance, a picture speaks a thousand words – You can actually See the thick, creamy texture in the way this sits on my hand and the shade, just look at it! I really like ‘The One’ and think it’s a nude that’ll suit many.
Lastly I’m going to show you this gorgeous offering that is the Vivid Baked Highlighter in the shade ‘Peach Lights’. It’s rare that you get a variety of shades when it comes to highlight powders so I was Really impressed when I saw this – I opted for peach as I thought it’d make a nice summery shade, but I think I’ll need to add pink to my collection too.
Little details, like this intricate design, really make the products stand out. As you’d expect with this being a baked product, the highlighter is solid to the touch, but it’s not hard at all to lift product from the surface.
Look how well this catches the light, it takes barely any product to get that sort of effect so once you blend it in you’re going to need very little in order to get a beautiful glow.
This is the closest my camera came to catching the peachy tones of this shade, you can see it subtly but there is a little more of it in reality. Either way you can see that it’s beautiful – I didn’t do a full makeup look today but I will be tomorrow and you can be sure that this beauty will be gracing my cheeks. For £3 you’re getting an awful lot of product here, another very impressive price.
