I’m not going to beat around the bush with this one, I Love this box. I’m actually amazed at how good it is, yup, high praise I know! There’s no point in messing around with big intro’s, we need to get on to the box!
The theme for this months box is ‘Summer is here’ – I think the box fits with that theme but, to be honest, you could make anything fit with that theme as long as it’s not all deep reds and berry shades etc.
And here’s what I got! When I look at this pic it really doesn’t look like much but let me, really, show you what’s in there and you’ll see why I love it so much.
The first time I’ve been really happy, and really impressed, with a perfume sample! I got a tester of Roger & Gallet‘s ‘Fleur de Figuier’ in the BBB Dream box a couple of weeks ago and I loved it so I am more than happy to get a second sample. But, as you can see, there’s even more than that – The holder for the sample is made up of two sachets, one of the accompanying shower cream and one of the body lotion and they’re both quite full feeling! If perfume samples were always like this then I think we’d have a lot less complaining from people (I won’t say none, though, as I’m sure some still wouldn’t like it)
Oh yes, a high street item in there too, and a full sized one at that! I really like Schwarzkopf for hair products and I am always on the look out for a styling product that can do some good for my hair. This is the ‘Rise ‘n Shine’ souffle from the ‘Got2b’ range – It’s meant to make textured volume and silky shine… ooh now that’s my sort of hair product! This is worth £4.07 which pays for almost half the box outright and it smells goood.
This is the second NailGirls polish I’ve had recently and I liked the last one so this was a welcome addition to my box. This is their ‘3-in1 Base, Topcoat & Nail Strengthener’ which sounds pretty good to me! I am always in need of something else to strengthen my nails. This is another full sized product and it’s worth £13.50 so it’s a nice higher end offering for those who weren’t pleased with the high st products last month (though I Loved them).
I am Always going to be happy with getting a brush in a beauty box, especially one that’s as nice as this. How beautiful is the box and the handle of this eye brush! It’s from Teez Trend Cosmetics and it’s their ‘Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush’ which is for applying powder and cream shadows. It feels like really nice quality and it’s going to look beautiful and really stand out amongst my collection. It’s worth 19 euros which, at current exchange rates, is worth about £15.
I have to agree with people’s remarks which I’ve seen on Facebook recently – I always get really disappointed when I see spoilers, from the brand, which are totally impossible to avoid other than unliking their facebook page (Though they’d often still come up as sponsored anyway so probably unavoidable then too) – I understand that saying that everyone is getting a So Susan
product (as it’s been in the past) may attract some new customers but I do feel like it’s not thinking about the loyal customers, a lot of us want a surprise!
Anyway… I had been expecting a blush or something so this wee concealer palette was, despite everything, a really nice surprise. I’m trying to work out if this is the standard size of the product or a smaller version but the Glossybox card just says ‘one size’ – If this is full sized then, according to the So Susan site, it’s worth an impressive £17. I’m not sure what I’ll use the darkest shades for (contour maybe?) but I definitely love the idea of a small concealer palette that I can take around with me, I just hope that the quality is as good as the other So Susan products I’ve tried in the past. (The more I look the more I think this is full sized, wow!)
So yes, lots of full sized items, and good quality, high value ones too! I am very very impressed with the June box, and I expect others will be too. Very very nice one Glossybox.
