You Beauty discovery box – Unboxing / Review – June 2014

Beauty box season is in full swing with Birchbox already having arrived and now it’s the turn of the You Beauty Discovery box !

This month’s theme, as you can see, is ‘Beauty Heroes’ – It was a nice selection of bits to pick from, nothing really made me go ‘OOOH That one!’ but it was easy to find two things to add to my basket once I’d had a good look.
These are my four things all for £6.95 including postage – Always, always impressed by the price point with You Beauty (as well as the awesome products, of course)
This is the first of the items that everyone got, I was rather pleased to see Montagne Jeunesse in the boxes, I love trying out different masks from them. The sachet says that this mask is a sheet mask, I think, which is infused with Dead sea mud and Sea kelp – Sounds good to me! I haven’t tried a sheet mask, yet, and this one sounds like it’ll be rather good for my skin so rather happy to have got this in my box.
I haven’t had one of these solid blocks, that unfurls into a face cloth in water for years! I think the last time I had one was when I was a child, I’m pretty sure it had a disney design on it too. I definitely don’t mind this being in the box, though, aside from the childlike fun I’ll get from watching it in the water, I always need lots of face cloths, I use them daily.
The first of the items that I picked was a ‘Revitalising Hair Treatment’ from HER haircare rituals – I’ve not heard of them before but I love hair treatments/masks and this was a really good sized tub to get (75ml). The packaging looks really nice, very attractive looking without being over the top. I’ll look forward to trying this out.
The last thing in my box is this L’Oreal Paris ‘Infallible 24hr Lip colour’ in ‘110 Timeless Rose’. L’Oreal is a brand that I’ve been using more of, recently, so this seemed like a good opportunity to try even more of their products. The lip colour is almost gloss like, but dries on to be like a stain, the other end is a really moisturising balm so, between the two,  you should get long lasting colour and hydration. Definitely looking forward to trying this one out, though not 100% about the glitter that you can see in it… we’ll see how that goes!
All in all, a  nice box. Not a Wow box this month but considering they’re the most cost effective box available and I’ll use every single item that I got… well, can’t go wrong really! Thanks for a good month, You Beauty.

I love Montagne Jeunesse masks. Sheet mask comes already pre-cut into face shape with openings for eyes, mouth and nose… and you just place it on your face… easy and less messy

I love my You Beauty boxes – every month they're great value! I was tempted by the hair mask and L'Oreal lip colour but decided I wouldn't really use them as much as some of the other items so I went for Cowshed and (because I was intrigued by it's bold claims) the Transformulas!
