It’s been a little while since I bought a Latest in Beauty box, I’ve missed them really, but they keep having things that I already have in them! So when I saw the Summer Glamour edit box and it had minimal duplicates in it plus some Really exciting products… well, do you want a look?
The box is so different from the normal plain white or plain black boxes so it Really stands out and has the ‘wow’ factor.
The package was nicely wrapped up with a matching lip print sticker which really added to the look. Rather different from the normal Latest in Beauty boxes, it’s quite nice to see how even more professional they look.
The box was practically overflowing with product, wow, wow, wow! Just look at all of those amazing items.
First up we have a self tan mitt – I’ve never used self tan but I actually already have a tanning mitt but I’m sure there’ll be no harm in having a second one and this one is bright purple!
The second item is this ‘Glamour – Volume Plumping Whip’ by Toni&Guy – I’m really enjoying trying out different hair care products at the moment and I’ve not tried anything by Tony&Guy yet (I have some products but not tried them) – This, though, seems like Exactly the sort of product I want to be using. I don’t like things that weigh my hair down so something that is lighter but still has a good effect is exactly what I want. This 90ml tub is an amazing size, especially considering the box only cost a little over £15!
I’ve used Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream before but I didn’t even know that they did nail polishes! This polish seems rather nice, though, the shade is called ‘Apple/Rouge Sublime’ and at first glance it looks like a flat red shade but…
When you look at it in a different light you can see the gorgeous sheen and shimmer that is in it – Beautiful.
The next item is the DHC ‘Deep Cleansing Oil’ – I already have a sample of this but I am more than happy to have another. I really really like cleansing oils and a 30ml bottle should last for ages as cleansing oils go such a long way! Cannot wait to try this out!
Perfect for the summer months, this next item is the Hawaiian Tropic ‘Satin Protection – Ultra Radiance – Sun Lotion’ – It has an spf of 30 so it’s not high enough for the hottest days, for me, but once the sun calms a little this will be perfect and will save me using my 50+ when it’s not necessary. It claims to protect, soften and leave skin glowing. Sounds good to me! This 100ml bottle is perfect for throwing in to a beach bag, or even a hand bag.
Couldn’t have a summer box without a tanning product! I’ve not heard of the Rimmel ‘Sun Shimmer – Instant Tan – BB Skin perfector’ before but considering I’m not much in to tanning that’s hardly a big surprise. I do really want to start using some tanning products, though, so I definitely don’t mind having got this, though I’m not sure I’m quite ready for something classed as medium! This is a wash off product, though, which makes it a lot less scary so that’s a big bonus. Pretty sure this is a full sized product.
I’d heard of Magnifibres before but never tried anything quite like it. You’re supposed to paint these fibres on, like a mascara, following one coat of your favourite mascara. After you’ve let the fibres dry you’re supposed to cover them in another layer of your favourite mascara – I’ve heard very mixed opinions on this one so I am intrigued to see how it works, definitely the sort of thing I’m glad to get in a beauty box as I would love to try it but probably wouldn’t have bought it myself. This, alone, is worth around £16, wow.
I, definitely, didn’t mind seeing that there would be one of the Bourjois cream blushes in the box but I was Really hoping it wasn’t a duplicate of the one I already have. I was very pleased when I saw that it was shade 2 ‘Healthy Glow’ which you can see below.
I’ve used this once already and I really like it, it really does have a healthy glow and I am loving products that do that rather than adding actual colour at the moment. Definitely pleased to get this one.
Clearly I had to leave the best until last…
Yup, your eyes do not deceive you, this box contains an Illamasqua ‘Glamore Lipstick’!
The shade that I got is ‘Rosepout’ which is this beautiful rose toned nude. I mean just look at it! So so pretty!
On the lips it has a slightly matte texture and it’s quite pale against my skin – I might not, normally, have decided to wear a shade like this but now that I have it I love it. It’s my first ever Illamasqua lipstick and I can’t believe I got it in a box that only cost £16.95 (postage included)!Yes, I was very very very impressed with this box. There are some things I’ll use more and some less but I definitely like all of the items, even if just because I want to give them a go. I can definitely see how this box is worth over £86 which is very impressive for such an affordable box.
