Zerreau Beauty – Towel off Shampoo Foam – Review

I don’t think there’s a beauty addict out there who doesn’t have a soft spot for a good dry shampoo, and if no then it’s only because they’ve tried so many types which just don’t suit them and are still hoping for the perfect formula one day. I’m an absolute dry shampoo addict – With my health the way that it is it can even be really hard to have a bath a lot of the time so I don’t get to do it as often as I’d like (and our showers are broken). As such my hair often needs a good boost and a spray of dry shampoo can make a real difference.

When I heard about the Zerreau beauty ‘Towel Off Shampoo Foam’ I was instantly intrigued. There’s plenty of issues with dry shampoo, one of the biggest being the grey/white colouration that it’ll often give to the hair so I was very interested to find out whether or not this interesting product would do a good job without that residue.

As the apple picture on the bottle suggests, this product is scented. I’m rather pleased that I got the apple scented one, it’s sweet and fresh smelling and just perfect for this sort of product. There’s also a strawberry option which sounds rather lovely too. This product costs £6.99 which I think is very reasonable considering the amount that you get (It’s going to last me Ages with my short hair!)

The most important thing, of course, is what the results are like! A couple of pumps of the nozzle and you’ve got a decent sized cloud of foam on your palm – For my hair that’s actually almost all I need but, of course, for longer hair it’ll take a bit more. The concept is a simple one; you apply the foam to your hair and rub it in before rubbing it off with a towel. The first time I used it I was dismayed as I really wanted to like this – Directly after towelling it off my hair felt like straw! But, thankfully, I didn’t give up, I gave it some more rubbing and I brushed it through And, Thankfully, with a little more fiddling around my hair was good! It wasn’t clean, it was never going to be, but it lost it’s lank greasy appearance and it had a huge amount of volume to it – It was like a super dry shampoo or maybe like using a shampoo and then a volume increasing product too! And was there anything white and powdery left behind? Well no there wasn’t!

All in all I was really impressed with this one. After my first worry things just got better and better and I’ve used it a few times since and been equally as happy. Obviously I have short hair so I can’t tell you what it’d be like with longer hair but I imagine it’d have a nice effect. It’s not as convenient as dry shampoo and that’s still what I reach for when I’m in a hurry and want a quick fix but this stuff definitely does an amazing job and, when you have more time, is well worth the extra work. I think this would be fab for people who struggle to wash their hair often (such as me) but also for travel and for festivals because it definitely gives your hair a really impressive boost and it’s hardly going to break the bank either.

If you do decide to buy it then I have a nice surprise for you! I have a savings code for you! The code is SUMMER20 and you can use it here: http://norinse.co.uk/zerreau.html

If you give it a go, please do let me know. Are you a dry shampoo addict like me or are you lucky enough to be able to shower every/every other day and don’t even care about dry shampoo?

This sounds pretty good – we do a lot of long run camping where it's difficult to shower and an alternative to dry shampoo would be a real help.

I've only used dry shampoo once when I got it in a beauty box, and have never really rated it. I think it's a good idea for camping and what not, but for me personally I always find the time to have a shower and wash it properly lol x

Sadly it's not about time but about how difficult it is, for me, so dry shampoo is an absolute saviour 🙂 xx

I love dry shampoo and didn't realise there were a number of brands around. This sounds great and perfect for travelling.

I love dry shampoo but not too sure about this, I guess it would be okay for using if you are away for a few days x

I am glad you found something that works for you. I must admit I shower and wash my hair every morning, couldn't cope with not doing that, so I have never used dry shampoo x

Cool review and it seems like a great product unfortunately my skin is very sensitive so shampoo like this isn't an option 🙁

Can you believe I only even heard of fry shampoo last year. It would be interesting to see what it was like with long hair.

Laura I'm one of them who don't like Dry shampoo, purely because my hair never gets greasy so I have no need for it, however I do use it on my curls sometimes, to create more definition and mess up the look and it works great for that! x

How is it on curly hair that has been straightened? I use dry shampoo so it doesn't kink my hair I'm guessing this would as it's wet to put on?
