The Eye of Horus ‘Goddess Mascara’ – Review

I first saw the Eye of Horus ‘Gooddess Mascara’ on twitter quite a few months ago and something about the Egyptian themed name, product names and Egyptian ingredients and formulas really drew me in. I’ve always loved Egyptian mythology and the aesthetics of the time so the symbols of the packaging and the exciting ingredients to it was very intriguing to me. Discovering that the mascara is actually really good, then, cemented my obsession.

So when I was given the chance to feature the mascara in my Wedding Makeup post, and wear it on my wedding day, really made me so happy! Not only did I get to try something I’ve been lusting over for a really long time, but I got to wear it on one of the most important days of my life!
Eye of Horus is an Australian company but you can buy the mascara from Cocktail Cosmetics if you’re from the UK like me!

I hadn’t taken much notice of the shape of the tube when I saw posts about this, previously, but once I had it in my hands I realised I really like the shape of it, the curves make it really sleek but the handle of it is really comfortable to hold when you’re applying it.

The bristles of the brush are of the short, plastic variety which is a type that works for me, quite well. I’ve not tried one with this hour glass shape before and I was really pleased with how this shape worked. I, also, really liked the formula of the mascara, some are too thick, some too thin but this one is just right – The mascara contains Moringa Oil which, I assume, helps with the nice formula.
This is my left eye, without mascara, I forgot to photograph my right eye (which has the mascara on) before I added the mascara and I can never find the previous no mascara shots I’ve taken! (I should probably save them somewhere memorable!)

Just Look at those lashes! Honestly I am in Love with this mascara, it glides on with ease and doesn’t clump at All! I didn’t cry a lot at my wedding but I did shed a couple of tears and this badboy didn’t budge. Honestly this is my absolute favourite mascara, now, Love it!
