I was, originally, offered the rose scent which they do which is an obvious one for Valentines, being such an iconic scent when it comes to romance. But, as I've said before, sadly rose now gives me headaches so I had to decline. Imagine my joy when I was offered a different fragrance, to try out, and let you know about for this Valentines day.
The scent range that I've been enjoying is 'Fleur d'Osmanthus' - Although it's not as obvious a choice as rose, when it comes to Valentines, this light, citrus and floral scent would make a beautiful gift instead of flowers or chocolate. Rather than being deep and heady, like rose, it's bright and refreshing and definitely has that little hint of romance about it. I've never smelled anything that's got such an intriguing mix of floral and citrus before and it is just bewitching. I think it's even more lovely as it'll be a great scent to wear as spring time arrives and, hard to believe as it may be, that's not too far away!
The fragrant water is an obvious choice, when it comes to gifts, and this 30ml bottle has a beautiful, elegant look about it that would, definitely, be an attractive present to receive, The scent isn't overpowering, but it lasts for a really long time and its subtle scent will make its way to your nose at random intervals throughout the day and help to lift your mood.
For a stronger scent you could try the revitalising 'Lait Sorbet' which contains apricot oil and aloe vera to help moisturise the skin. The lotion is so light on the skin that it disappears really quickly and leaves the skin feeling silky smooth, and the scent is stronger than the perfume, and lingers for quite some time. It's a lovely way to feel refreshed and bright after a bath or shower, in the morning or when getting ready for your valentines date night.
The last product I've been trying is the Hand & Nail Cream which has been pretty invaluable recently - Our dishwasher has broken and, so, I've been having to do washing by hand (when I can manage it) and, as such, my hands have been even drier than normal. It's been this cream that I've been reaching for as it does a good job at moisturising as well as leaving behind a soft, subtle scent that I can't help bringing up to my nose every now and again. This, again, would be a lovely gift, or a lovely way to prepare for date.
I haven't listed prices for these as different sites often have different prices, and often one or the other has a special offer on. You can get these items individually, or if you're looking for a gift idea you might want to consider one of their gift sets too. Roger & Gallet products can be bought from Feel Unique, Escentual, Marks & Spencer and John Lewis which allows for the online shopper and the high street shopper, alike, to pick these up in time for Valentines day. Definitely a brand to consider whenever you have occasion to buy a gift, or to treat yourself - A brand that I love, that's for sure.
