I’ve been really excited to find out what the formula of the lipsticks from, new brand, Freedom Makeup is like, so when I was sent their Red Lipstick collection I was rather pleased. I don’t wear reds very much, anymore but this range has a nice selection of shades which ranges from pinkier shades, to some more orange toned reds.
The packaging is nice, they have the Freedom Makeup logo which has a great, professional look to it, and the little pods at the end to see a realistic colour block before opening it up.
The product, itself, has a beautiful glossy appearance in the tube, I was wowed by how much of a shine they had to them even in this format. Very nice.
From L-R we have – ‘Born With It’, ‘Make Me Crazy’, ‘Fever’, ‘Expression’ and ‘Red Wine’.
And here’s the most important thing, the swatches, in the same order as above. As you can see, they are all nicely pigmented, though ‘Expression’ is a bit more sheer than the others. I love the pinky, almost strawberry red of ‘Born With it’ and the coral red of ‘Make Me Crazy’ is going to be perfect for the summer season. The three, more standard reds, all cover different tones, though, with an orange red, a more blue red and then a deeper red.
It’s great that you can get these as a collection, or separately, if you’re a fan of reds then this would be for you. There’s other shade collections too including pinks and…
The individual lipsticks are £1, and the collections are £4, all available on the Freedom Makeup site.
