My March 2015 Degustabox - Unboxing / Review - An amazing box!

Last month's Degustabox was really good, I didn't think there was a chance that the March box would be as good (you  know how it is with subscription boxes, they tend to fluctuate like mad) but I was very, very wrong. It's not as good, it is much, much better! I opened the box and was, instantly, filled with joy.
If you decide to order a Degustabox, you can get £3 off the £12.99 price if you use my discount code: 76IGB.

Happy Birthday to me... For you! - Worldwide giveaway - Mac or Urban Decay

It's been a month since my birthday but due to a whole bundle of icky-ness, I've been really bogged down with things and posts haven't been as forthcoming as I'd have liked. I've had the idea of doing a birthday giveaway since before my birthday rolled around but it just didn't come together. I am hardly the type to let that stop me, though, if I want to give some of you an awesome prize then I'm going to do it,  birthday or not!

If you're in the UK then you can, also, enter my giveaway for a Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro 2 palette or a collaborative giveaway I'm taking part in for a big Thorntons hamper

As it happens, I actually have two prizes to giveaway but one's worldwide and one's UK only (this is the worldwide one!) so I'm giving them separate posts. In this giveaway you're going to have the chance to win a beauty product from Urban Decay or Mac! I was going to pick a few items, myself, that you could choose from but... well there was so many! So the idea is, you can pick any Mac item from the Mac website or Urban Decay item from Feel Unique (Keeping stock availability in mind, of course) up to the value of £15.50 - That'd get you a mac lipstick, a single shadow or a paint pot among other things. Or it'd get you an Urban Decay lipstick, lip gloss, single shadow or a number of other great products.

Soo if you want to enter, the normal things apply, there's a rafflecopter below and don't forget to check terms and conditions underneath that. Good luck, can't wait to make one of you happy with an exciting prize! And don't forget to enter my Makeup Revolution giveaway too, if you're in the UK.

- You must be 18 or over to enter the giveaway
- The Giveaway is open Worldwide
- The winner will be picked, randomly, via Rafflecopter
- There will be one winner
- The winner will have 28 days to respond to my email informing them of the win, if they do not respond another winner will be drawn.

Brand new Hand and Nail balm fragrances from Roger & Gallet - 'Bienfaits' and 'Fleur de Figuier'

Don't you love looking back at the journey you have with a brand? When I say this I mean stopping to think about how you discovered them and, then, remember the brands you've tried as well as realising quite how much of a fan you are now. This is something I've, recently, thought about in regards to Roger & Gallet - I first discovered them when getting fragrance samples in beauty boxes (yes, one of those instances where fragrance samples are actually a good thing!) and now I've tried a lot of their fragrances and a variety of their different products and, my goodness, I absolutely love everything I've tried!

When you're as obsessed with a brand as I am with Roger & Gallet it's crazily exciting when you're asked if you want to write about one of their new products - And that's why I have had the joy of trialling the two new fragrances of Hand and Nail balms which have been released recently. Those fragrances are 'Bienfaits' and 'Fleur de Figuier'.

Bee Good - Honey & Wild Water Mint 3-in-1 Cleansing Water - A review

I've tried a number of products from Bee Good and, it's safe to say, I'm a really big fan of the brand. I love the scent, I love the quality, I love the ethos; there's so much To like about them - And this is why it's impossible to say no when I get the chance to try another of their products.

It's easy to see, from the packaging, and the name, that bees are an important thing to this brand and it's really impressive once you discover what it is that they do. They do work to help make sure that people learn about the British bees, and that they understand the importance of them and of buying local honey and a share of their profits go towards helping bee keeping causes. As well as this, they give us an opportunity to help; every order made from their site will contain a little paper label, you can tear that label and plant it in your garden as it's impregnated with seeds and will grow wildflowers that'll look beautiful as well as providing nectar for your local bees.

I ♥ Makeup - 'I ♥ Obsession' palettes in 'Born to Die' and 'West End Girls'

You'll probably have seen posts about these already, but if you've read any of my recent posts you'll already know that I'm still playing catchup where I'm behind on things. I won't go in to it, again, because it feels like I'm starting all my posts this way. But, yay, Makeup Revolution!
These are, actually, from Makeup Revolution's sister brand I ♥ Makeup and they've been out for a few weeks now - They are the 'I ♥ Obsession' palettes and I have them in two sets of colours, 'Born To Die' and 'West End Girls'. The palettes, each, contain 10 shades and are a very, very reasonable £3.99 each.

Makeup Revolution - 'Iconic Elements' palette with swatches

I haven't, yet, posted about the last palettes that Makeup Revolution, kindly, sent me but slump and loss of mojo blah blah (not to be dismissive of my own issues but I don't want to keep starting all my posts in the same way!) - I'm working on the other post but when the 'Iconic Elements' palette arrived I wanted to get it out to you as soon as possible, especially seeing as the other palettes aren't so new, now, and this one is brand new.

Cohorted Beauty box - March 2015 Unboxing/Review

First things first, I don't have the April Cohorted box pre-ordered, booo! I am rather sad about this, I knew which day the pre-order was going live but assumed it was going to be the evening, like the previous month, but it was the morning! So  you won't be seeing an April box from me - Why am I So sad about this? Well the March box is Awesome!

Some gift ideas, for a 5 year old boy, from House of Fraser

Let's address the most scary part of this post, first, I'm writing about 5-year-olds! Ethan's not quite there, yet, but he'll be 5 in a couple of weeks and I've still definitely not come to terms with that. My helpless, poorly, tiny little boy who arrived and shook my world isn't tiny anymore, is far from helpless and is, thankfully, leagues away from the poorly state he was born in - It's happened in the blink of an eye, honestly, I know everyone says it but it's true.

When I was given the chance to try a couple of products from House of Fraser I thought I'd pick two things which we'd have loved as birthday gifts for Ethan, in a couple of weeks time, as I know it can be tough to think of what kids want. You probably, already, know that I don't like gender stereotyping with boys which is why my list of ideal themes for a boy, like Ethan, contains Minecraft, Lego, Scooby-Doo, My Little Pony, Pokemon, robots, Angry Birds, Starwars, Space ships, super heroes, kitchens, crafts and more. These are all things that Ethan loves and they're all things I was looking out for when I was looking through the pages on HoF.

It really was very, very difficult to narrow things down so I decided to try and find one toy item and one clothing item as I thought that some people prefer practical gifts and some prefer to go down the playing path. I ended up picking up a gorgeous t-shirt from Joules, and a fun Scooby-Doo set from the Playset section.

My March 2015, Birthday, Primark Haul

I was saving this post as we were meant to be going to town this week to spend more of my birthday money from my wonderful husband, but it's Cheltenham races and that makes taxi's impossible to get, which makes it impossible for us to go as me and travel = not good. To be honest, going to town is Very rare these days, we normally only go when we're near by taking Ethan to a party, or I have a hospital visit - In this instance, we went because it was the week of my birthday but Also, Ethan had a party so it was a win win situation. (Yes, I think I explain how hard it is to get to town every time, but that's because it's such a big deal fo rme these days, I miss Primark!!)

Of course, when I have birthday money to spend Primark is my one and only stop, it's my go-to.

'Confessions of a Mother Inferior' by Ericka Waller - Book review

I've gone from a Book Worm to a Book Addict this year (you only need to check out my 50 Book Challenge page to see that) so getting the offer of being sent another book to review... well it was an inevitability! When I saw the description of 'Confessions of a Mother Inferior' by Ericka Waller I was really interested because it's the type of genre that's still quite new to me, but that I've been really enjoying - Parenting, comedy, romance, contemporary women's fiction... the promise of giggles but with a real story in there too.

#SafestoreYourMemories - Keeping your treasured memories safe

Safestore, the self storage company that I'm sure many of you have heard of, are currently spending some time thinking about the idea of keeping our  memories safe. They're talking about the idea of not just burying away your memories in a drawer, or the attic, but displaying, them scrapbooking them or, if not possible, keeping them packed away somewhere safe for the future. You  can read more about the concept, here, as I think they've got some really nice ideas.
Safestore have asked some of us, bloggers, to put together a sort of time capsule, a box of memories that we want to treasure, spend some time with, but most importantly keep safe. (I've not been paid for this post but it is a competition entry) - I jumped at the idea to do this because our life is in disarray at the moment; our bedroom is a bomb site, our things are everywhere and I constantly worry about things getting damaged or lost.

My February 2015 Degustabox - Unboxing / Review

You may think I'm deceiving you with the title, 'The February box, but it's March?' but my Degustabox came towards the end of the month, in February, and then my birthday happened so I had some relaxy days (Shush, that is a word!) and, so, it's now March.

But this box is well worth seeing, it's one of my favourites, so far! For a quick re-cap; Degustabox is like any other subscription service in that you pay a monthly fee and get an exciting box of goodies delivered to your door. The boxes are £12.99, including postage, which, personally, feels like a good price. If you do decide to sign up you can get £3 off, here: https://www.degustabox.com/en/

For me, a lot of the excitement for sub boxes is in the surprise, so if you do sign up you can look forward to the surprise of what the March box will bring - Hopefully it'll be as good as the February box.

Bubble Bum Neon - The booster seat in a bag, great for travel

When I was given the opportunity to trial an inflatable booster seat, which fits in to a small bag, I jumped at the chance. I bought a standard booster seat in the hope that we could use it for taxi rides, as I'm to limited in my mobility that we can't walk to doctors appts, for example, but it's just too cumbersome to take to too many places.
