If you have friends, or family, with a baby then you’ll undoubtedly have heard ‘Well, actually, they have enough toys and clothes so I don’t really know what you can get them for Christmas’, sometimes you have to think outside of the box when it comes to gift giving when there’s a little one in your life with uber organised parents (guilty!).
This ‘Calendula Baby Top to Toe’ set from Weleda is one of those ‘out of the box’ sort of gifts that most parents would be thrilled to get for their baby. Babies get dirty, goodness babies get filthy, so a luxury set to help them stay clean and sweet smelling with is a really nice gift. The set contains three full sized conditions and a super soft face cloth and it costs £22.95 – The products, individually, are worth £23.40 which means you make a small saving plus get the wash cloth and display bag for free!
The cloth is nice and big an beautifully soft for delicate skin, much nicer than cheaper alternatives.
The first of the three full sized products is a shampoo and body wash, it’s a 200ml tube and it’s a beautiful product. We’ve used it to bath Oliver and it smells lovely, it’s a really herbal, natural scent and has a creamy consistency. It rubs in, and lathers nicely, on both the skin and the hair and left Oliver lovely and clean and smelling beautiful and fresh.
After using the shampoo and body wash Oliver was already feeling really smooth, it was almost moisturising in of itself, but we followed up with the body lotion. Oliver hates baths, like really really hates baths, so it was really nice to get him dry and then put cream on him after as it helped to soothe him and calm him down perfectly. He doesn’t get particularly dry skin anyway but this definitely left him feeling soft and lovely and the scent lasted for a nice while, but it wasn’t an overpowering scent for those who aren’t fans of strong smells.
We’ve only used this nappy change cream a couple of times as Oliver doesn’t really get nappy rash (oh how lucky are we, and he!). We did want to test it out, though, and it’s a lovely cream. It has the same scent as the other products (which makes a nice change from other nappy creams) and is very moisturising. He gets a little redness in his nappy area and I do think it helped that, but I can’t comment on more severe nappy rash. An added bonus is that my hands felt really soft after changing him, I had to then wash my hands but they still felt nice and soft for a long time after.
So, if you have a baby to buy for this Christmas, this set is well worth considering. It’s lovely, good value and put together as a really nice gift. I can imagine that any parent would be really grateful for such a thoughtful and useful present!
