Colour Me Romantic - With Living Nature

'Living Nature' are a brand I've tried a few times in the past, I've really enjoyed their skincare, products which are full of certified natural ingredients, but have never tried any cosmetics by them before. Based on how much I like their skincare, though, I was really pleased to be given the chance to try out one of their lipsticks which currently features in the 'Colour Me Romantic' lipstick set.

This beautiful set, filled with a trio of lovely pinks, is currently on offer at the website Botanical Brands. It's normally £60 but, for Valentines day, it's down to £45 - You can find it here if you want to have a look.

The three shades in the set are 'Bloom', 'Laughter' and 'Summer Rain'. Bloom is described as a 'vintage carnation, vibrant hot pink shade', Laughter as a 'darker, intensive pink shade, with slight blue undertones' and Summer Rain as a 'true pink with a hint of shimmer'. All three are absolutely beautiful and I can imagine being able to wear all of them really well.

The lipstick comes in a lovely, soft touch, matte black tube and has a real feel of quality to it. The Living Nature logo is on the end of the tube which is both pretty, and distinctive, it'll certainly stand out in amongst my lipstick collection.

The shade that I was sent was 'Laughter', I really like this shade family when it comes to lipsticks. To be honest it won't be the first shade I have that's a little like this, cool toned pinks are certainly a favourite of mine but this one is a real stand out due to the certified natural, moisturising, ingredients such as Candellia, Carnauba, Beeswax, Squalane and Vitamin E, the sorts of things you'd expect to find in skin care rather than cosmetics.

The formula, itself, is incredibly creamy and full of colour, it doesn't drag on the skin at all and it doesn't take a lot of work to get an opaque saturation of the shade.

Of course sometimes a creamy formula isn't a good thing, if it leads to a lipstick that doesn't have any longevity, but in this instance I haven't found it to be an issue at all - I've worn it a number of times and been really impressed.

No filter used and I was wearing very little other makeup but this gives a good idea of the look
On the lips it's very comfortable. You definitely feel like you're wearing lipstick but not in a heavy or unpleasant way, it feels really nice and I do feel like it doesn't dry my lips out at all. It has a better wear time that I'd expect from a creamy product, too, it's not as long as a dry, matte lipstick but it lasts a good few hours and when it wears off it does so very evenly, I certainly don't feel like I need to reapply it all the time.

I think that the shade is perfectly suited to the idea of 'Colour me Romantic' so if you are planning to get some special makeup for a Valentines day out, for a meal, or a first date, then these are worth considering. If you're looking to request these as a Valentines gift then that's an equally great idea - They may have a high price tag but you are getting a really premium product and the shades are suitable for year round wear.
