Birchbox time again and this is a box I've been looking forward to for a while as the product which we already knew about is one that I've been intrigued about for a little while. If you like the look of the boxes that I get then you can sign up using my referral code and get £5 off your first box (and that also gets me £5 to spend in the Birchbox shop!) - https://www.birchbox.co.uk/invite/m6bv3
When I wrote about the Schleich 'Farm World Starter Set' a few weeks ago I mentioned that I'd really like to get Oliver some of their dinosaurs to add to his, and Ethan's, collection so when I was offered the chance to try out some of the newest additions to the range I just had to say yes. Oliver really loves dinosaurs!
I have another exciting new Makeup Revolution release to share with you today and I have to admit that I've been loving having their new products pop through the letter box, unannounced, recently as there's been some really outstanding products from the lovely people over at Tam Beauty.
I will, very rarely, run a giveaway for a product that I've not tried out, or experienced, myself but when I was offered the chance to give away a copy of Disney's 'Moana' on DVD I felt like I'd be letting you all down if I said no.
I've not seen Moana but I have heard so, so much about it. Ever since the film has come out I've seen and heard friends talking about how much their children, and they, enjoyed it. I've had people say that they've had the soundtrack on repeat for weeks and that it's one of the best Disney they've ever seen. As such I can't wait to watch it, myself, but for now I will have to make myself feel better by knowing I'm going to give one of you the chance to watch it instead.
Lice. It's one of those words that fills any parent (or teacher) with dread. It makes you uncomfortable and a bit squirmy because no one likes to think of the little critters, or deal with them. But they are, unfortunately, a fact of life, especially when you have little ones.
We've been using tea tree on Ethan's, for a while, and I can't say if it's a coincidence or if it's worked, but we've not had a occurrence of head lice in over a year so when Vosene offered to send us some of their lice repellent range I was intrigued to see if having the products all in one would be equally as successful, and much more convenient.
Hotel Chocolat asked me to do something a bit different, this year, rather than just reviewing one of their products they've asked me to share my 'Mum Moments' with you. They very kindly sent me their Mother's Day Sleekster box, which I will enjoy, as well as asking me to run a giveaway for one of you to win a Sleekster too! If you want to enter the giveaway then you'll find out how later on in the post, I look forward to hearing some of your Mum Moments too.
I was very, very pleased to find a package containing five of the new Renaissance Lipsticks from Makeup Revolution on my doorstep yesterday. I was browsing the Tam Beauty website, just a couple of days ago, and these caught my eye so being able to try a few out, and share them with you, made me very happy!
Just as a little mention, I'm working with a new camera so some of my photos are struggling with light and I'm working on how to improve that so please bare with me. You should be able to get a good impression of the lipsticks, still, and the swatches came out perfectly.
I think you'll be hard pressed not to notice that it's World Book day, today, there are children in costumes, photos of them with their favourite books and posts all over the internet about the best costumes to send them to school in (There's some amazing ones out there), it's everywhere! One thing I didn't know, though, is that it's the 20th anniversary of World Book Day which is really fantastic to think about, that so many people, over so many years, have been inspired to pick up, and enjoy, books.
When I was approached by Scholastic to feature a couple of their books for World Book day it was an instant yes. We love books, and by we I mean all of us. I expect you already know I'm a huge book lover but most of my family is and both of the boys already are too (yes, even the 1 year old)
Scholastic have a special, World Book Day 2017, Book Club (which runs until the 5th May) which has a fantastic selection of books in it. Including those for the littlest in your family up to books for your tweens and it includes so many recognisable characters, such as Wimpy Kid, and well known authors, like David Walliams, that there's bound to be a book for everyone.
The best thing is is that you can use your £1 World Book Day voucher online (throughout the book club), so even if you can't get to a book shop or an in person book club event then you can still use your voucher! I'm looking forward to helping Ethan pick out another book (or two) when he's home to use his voucher on.
