I wanted to do a Christmas gift guide, this year, that has ideas that cover most types of people in all families. Of course I won’t be able to include everyone (there’s less ideas for men because I really struggle to buy for the men in my life haha) but this is a pretty good all rounder which should, hopefully, be able to inspire people in a variety of ways.

This post contains products that we were sent to try out as well as products I’ve bought myself and really love – I’ll mark anything we were sent with a * for simplicity.

I’ve got a rather lovely Wilko haul to share with you today – I had one item, in particular, that I wanted to order but once I got on the website I just kept finding more and more. I love the bargains you can find on sites like Wilko, plus the variety of products you can get, and you can be sure I got a big variety in this haul.

So, if you’re a more regular reader, you might notice that I’ve been absent but I’m rather happy that blogging seems to be a little more semi-regular now. I’m going to aim to post at least once a week (twice in an ideal world), but let’s see what life allows. I thought it might be a good idea to do a quick (or maybe not so quick) update because I haven’t done one for a while.

Health has been the main reason that I’ve not been posting as much, as whilst my health is no better now, I’ve started getting some answers which has done wonders for mental state. Being ill is never going to be good, but if you know Why you’re ill then at least you can accept it more easily and hope for help/management of the ills one day.

I expect you’ll read this about a thousand times over the next week or so but (I never promised to not be a cliche!) I cannot believe that it’s almost the end of the summer holidays. Whilst they’ve felt long and tiring on the more difficult days it, equally, feels as though I’ve barely taken a breath since Ethan was saying goodbye to his infants school and I watched him perform in his leavers assembly ready to begin in Juniors this September.

I have tried incredibly hard to be prepared for him going back but despite all my hard work there’s still that normal mad rush when I have realised the things I’ve forgotten, last minute of course.

We have discovered wooden toys, in a big way. If you’ve followed our blog, especially the family stuff, for any length of time then you’ll know that wooden train track is no new discovery for us but, with our new love of everything wooden, some interesting new train track was a seriously welcome addition – Especially in rainbow colours, we love rainbow colours. When we were asked to try out this amazing track from Hape it was an instantaneous yes.

Before you start, a warning, this is a very photo intensive post – But cute toddlers and rainbow colours just ask to be photographed.
